Zara hesitated but decided to drink it. She took a couple of sips. It wasn't that bad.

Zara drank the rest of the elixir. She felt a lot calmer and took a deep sigh. "Thanks."

“I’m sorry about my father. I didn’t know.” Zara didn’t want to believe what she had heard, but she could tell Elynea was telling the truth.

“I still feel bad.” Zara looked down trying
To think of ways to help. “I can try talking to him. He might listen to me.”

"Oh. Sorry. I don't want to danger you." Zara looked up at Elynea, trying to show the vampire the truthfulness in her eyes, "I really don't want to hurt you."

"I'm not lying." Zara stood up and followed Elynea into the kitchen, "I promise."

"You didn't hurt me. You actually make me happy. I'm very glad I met you cause now I have someone to talk to."

"Well I'm royalty. So I can protect you. I have power you know."

“You say that after telling me your being hunted. I think you do need protection.”

“I can…” Zara paused. She was going to say she had knights and guards but realised they were all under the King’s oath. “I can ride. On Daisy. If you’re in trouble and I can you away from it. And then we can hide.”

Zara blushed. No one had ever called her cute and this feeling in her stomach was new. “Well, then I can’t protect you. I don’t know how.”

Zar’s heart was beating rapidly. Her face was inches from Elynea’s and if she took a step back, she would be up against the wall, and she didn’t want to show we was nervous. She was trying to match Elynea’s energy but her face was red and her thoughts were scrambled.

If it could, Zara’s heart beat faster and she got chills over her body. Elynea’s voice was so captivating and she was so close to her, they could almost kiss.
Dont think about that, Zara! That’s not right. Right?
Zara question herself. Part of her though that she couldn’t possibly kiss a female, it just wasn’t right. But the other was begging for Elynea to close the gap between the two of them.

Zara tensed up but immediately relaxed after, closing her eyes and forgetting all morals. She had completely forgotten that Elynea could read her thoughts and she wasn't prepared, at first. She lifted her hands to cup Elynea's face and stepped forwards so their bodies were pressed against each other. She had never kissed anyone before, but she was enjoying it. And the fact she was sharing it with another woman, let their be a sense of danger. Who knows how her father would react. But at the moment, she didn't care.

Zara inhaled through her nose as she was pushed against the wall. Hee whole body was tingling and she was excited. She stood up on her tippy toes to try and match Elynea’s height and opened her mouth as Elynea but at her lip.
