Alien Stuff/ One on One

Abby would have stuck her tongue at Caleb if it weren't for the mask, so she settled for crossing her arms and a small glare.

Peter actually smirked, raising an eyebrow. ”I’ll consider actually believing that, if only for Abby's sake. But if you are serious about this insane attempt at peace then you two may want to dial back anything public to just friendship. There is no way anyone is ready to see anything past that yet.”

"I can agree with that," Caleb said nodding. "If you too were acting like this they would be convinced that she did something to you."

Nyt nodded. "That's alright,"

Abby blushed again at her actions. ”Ok. Definitely, don't want that.” she nodded. ”Actually, Caleb already thought Nyt brainwashed me just because I didn't want to ”escape” with him the first time.” She chuckled.

"Can you blame me?" Caleb asked.

"Honestly, I can't blame any of you for your reactions." Nyt said, her tail twitching back and forth.

Abby shrugged. ”Neither can I. I was pretty scared myself before. If I wasn't injured I probably would have…” she shook her head. ”No, I would have fought too. I'm sorry, Nyt. But I'm actually glad I was hurt now.”

"I can understand. Fight or Flight reflex. You couldn't run so you probably would of attacked me." Nyt said. "You probably thought I was going to kill you too, didn't you?" Nyt asked.

Abby blushed, running a hand through her hair. ”That was the first thing I asked you. I guess you didn't hear me, huh?”

"I wasn't really dwelling on that much. My instinct was 'There's something bleeding in my shed and I need to help it,'" Nyt explained.

Abby blushed at Nyt’s caring personality. ”I’m glad you did.”

Peter’s brow rose. ”Wait a second. You saw she was hurt and you just decided to help her? For no reason other than wanting to help.” He was having a hard time believing this when everything he knew said that any and every Alien on this planet would as soon kill a human as soon as they saw one.

"Umm…yes? It empathy. Why wouldn't I?" Nyt asked, confused.

"Not all Aliens are heartless." Caleb said. "The first thing Nyt dI'd when I showed up was said hello and offered me something to eat before showing me her collection."

”Oh, Peter knows about empathy. But he only shows it to other humans… And dogs. He's a complete sucker whenever there's a dog involved.” Abby smirked.

”What collection?” Peter asked before glaring slightly at Abby and flipping her off.

"Oh! Well," Nyt ssid, her ears turning grey. "Before I met Abby it was common knowledge that humans were extinct. So I collected human stuff as a way to, I guess, preserve a bit of culture." Nyt explained.

"She's got a whole collection of stuff. It's huge." Caleb chimed in.

”I bet that’s gonna be a big surprise when we have to start talking with your leaders.” Abby tried to imagine what it would be like to see an extinct species walking around.

Peter just hummed quietly, ”Mark? You’ve been awfully quiet over there. Anything you want to add?”

"Hmm? No I'm good." Mark said before rubbing his temples. "This a lot to take in."

"I feel you there buddy." Caleb said with a smile.

”Yeah, no sh*t, Sherlock.” Peter agreed.

”Take your time, guys. I’m in no rush.” Abby nervously ran her hand through her hair. ”Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how to introduce Nyt to other humans in a friendly, nonaggressive way.”

"That's going to be tough. Expecially for the older people." Mark said. "Half of me says we should introduce her to them all at once so we can get it over with and the other part says we should do it slowly."

Caleb shrugged. "I feel both options have there ups and downs."

”That’s been my debate for a while too. But I’m glad you're on board.” Abby nodded. ”Nyt, since this decision affects you, probably more than us; which would you prefer?”

”If we do this in front of a large number, like even just our main camp, maybe a peace offering of some kind could help.” Peter said thoughtfully.

Nyt shrugged. "I don't really know how they will react with both situations. And you have to realize that I'm one person, not my entire species. I could contact a few friends that collect stuff as well but I can't get my entire race on board." She explained.

”Well, maybe I could meet some of your friends then since you already met some of mine.” Abby offered, taking Nyt’s hand. ”And you guys could find out who in our camp would be the most open to our crazy peace idea.” she suggested to the men.

Mark nodded. "That would probably be the safest option for now."

Caleb nodded. "But what are we going to tell them about you now?"

Nyt nodded. "I can contact some friends after this."

”How about this time you say that I'm scouting uncharted territory and that no one should come looking for me.” Abby stated. Technically it was true anyway.

Mark nodded. "That sounds good."

"I can agree with that," Caleb said. "We should head back to camp now though. Everyone noticed you twould were gone almost imeaditly."

Peter gave a slight scowl at himself, ”Blame me. Mark had the idea to make sure everything was safe but I rushed ahead of him.” He looked directly at Nyt. ”We will be coming back to check on Abby.”

Nyt raised her hands in almost surrender postion. "Fine by me. If it makes you feel comfortable." She said.

"Alright then. Let's go." Caleb said. "Nice seeing you again Nyt. I just wish it had been under better circumstances." He said with a wave goodbye.

Mark got up and headed out the door with Caleb.

”Bye, guys. Peter; learn to lighten up. I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself.” Abby almost scolded.

Peter smirked softly and followed Mark and Caleb, picking up his machete on the way out.

Nyt let out a big sigh. "Well, was not expecting that when I heard a crash." She chuckled.

Abby leaned back against Nyt in relief. ”Definitely not.” she sighed, ”I’m just glad things didn't go any worse.”

She nodded. "So you're serious about meeting some of my friends?" Nyt asked, wanting to be sure.

Abby nodded, admittedly a little nervous. ”Yeah. It seems like a good idea to start small. Get a group from both sides to start talking on friendly terms.” she sighed with a light chuckle. ”I’m sorry I’m still talking kinda political. I would really like to meet your friends. Are they as interested in humans as you are?”

"That's how I made most of my friends." Nyt said chuckling. "I don't get out much. I think Adar would be the best person to see you first." She said. "Does that sound alright?"
