"It seems as if the smog has cleared out and I don't hear anymore bombs." Sam removed the wood from the door and headed out, remembering to close the door behind her. She ran back to the tree and found her bag and weapons that had fallen out. The poison spilled but she could careless. The only thing that would be affected by it was the ground. She took the clipboard and read it as she walked back to the shelter. "I found out why they are doing this and where they are holding the other weapons. But I doubt we will be able to get them."
Children of War - Dystopian War RP (OPEN)
"Wait, where? And why?" Bains asked, letting the kids all sip out of his water canteen.
( sorry, I should've mentioned Bains has a bag. This stuff isn't just magically appearing… )
Sam flipped the paper over and skimmed through the large amount of text. "Apparently they've noticed the robots malfunctioning and decided to stop wasting money and kill us off. They are also holding the weapons at their base and they have tons of things. I'd rather not try to get it because they have heavy security around it." She put the clipboard away and took out the small amount of paper were she kept the recipes for poisons and medicines. She only knew a small amount and doubted what she had on there would help.
"But why waste their weapons on a bunch of kids? There's gotta be something bigger going on. Maybe they're trying to kill our side of the war and they want us to die so that there won't be any more soldiers drafted to fight. Whatever it is, they just think it would be easier for us to be dead." She said this quiet enough so that the kids didn't hear. They were currently playing a hand-clapping game.
"I guess so, but either way, they want us dead. I'm going back to where they were and I'm going to try and listen in, do you want to come with?" Sam said while tying her shoelaces and putting some water in her bag. She wasn't planning on coming back to camp until she figured the real reason for all of this.
"Sure. The smog has cleared out, and I'll drop the kids off at school, like I was going to earlier. If anything else happens, at least they'll be safe. The elementary school is sturdier than the middle and high school."
"Cool. I'll wait, but you need something to defend yourself. Do you have any weapons? Your more than likely going to need to defend yourself in case something happens." Sam looked over at the little children putting their bags on. They didn't really know any of this was even going on and they were innocent, and that was the strongest reason why she wanted to stop this.
"Yup. I have a knife." She replied, pulling her knife out of her pocket. "It's a little bit rusty and old, but it'll work."
"That's awesome, while you drop them off, I'll be making plans for what to do and how we get there." She responded, opening the door for the both of them and the children to leave.
"I can help if you guys need me too." Bains said, setting down a little boy he'd been holding as he walked out.
"The more, the merrier. I'll be nearby, when you're ready, just head to the camp down south." She walked away to the camp to start formulating her plan.
(how should I jump in?)
have Sam meet your character and then you could jump in.//
(is Sam going to the camp?)
Yep.//
Sam runs off into the woods on her way to the south child camp. They had only a few, now that the robots stopped working. The older children migrated the rest of them to the remaining ones. On her way there, she saw another kid with pale skin walking around. "Hey! Didn't you hear those bombs go off or at least see the smog? You shouldn't be out here."
Wylen stared at the girl who had come up to him, trying to read her lips. Something about bombs and…snot? He tilted his head, adjusting the strap of the satchel he was carrying before he began signing to her. Wylen held his point finger up to his ear and dragged it down to the corner of his mouth, indicating that he was deaf.
"Oh," Sam said quietly. She decided to slow down just a bit so he could read her lips. "It's unsafe right here, there's a camp nearby you could go to or you could help us."
Help. He recognized that word easily. Wylen nodded, holding up two fingers to indicate that he would rather do the second option. "Help. I will help." He signed.
"Do you have a weapon? We will more than likely need to use them since there are a whole bunch of healthy functioning people."
Bains headed down south towards the camp, and he waited.
"Weapon….I have a slingshot." He pulled out his slingshot, as well as a sack of rocks. Wylen nodded before returning his weapon to his satchel.
"Great. Follow me." Sam headed finally arrived at south camp and saw the boys waiting over there. "Okay on the way here, I was thinking about things we can do but I need your input."
( who's input )
(Input means i need your ideas, i need your say and opinion, i need you to contribute to the plan.)
( No I mean who's input do you need )
(Oh, sorry, Bains)
( okay thanks )
"Okay, so what were you thinking?" Bains asked.
"Maybe, we ambush them, take a few of them out, head to the supplies and break them in some way so they don't work and no one suspects anything."
Wylen desperately tried to keep up with the conversation. This girl needs to slow down. He thought to himself as he tried to read her lips. Am…bu…Ambush. Egg…no that's not right. Something about supplies and break…and I lost it again.
