I thought this was interesting, because one of my first MCs ever actually has a pet wolf. Only, she's had hers since he was a puppy. Still, I guess in all reality it'd be frowned upon. Still, I've got an angry wolf at my command, and they have? (I don't know what they had in1750's France.) Guns? Pitch forks and torches? Please, come at me. I'd like to see you try to take this wolf from me.
Ask other people what they would do in a scenario in your story
Ok so it's like the 1750's France and you find a wolf with a broken leg outside in the woods. Your wife is away and can't stop you so you take it in. You form a bond with the wolf. A neighbor, who just like the rest of your village, is terrified of wolves soon finds out that you took one into your home. So what do you do?
Ignore them and tell your wolf not to kill other humans
Your friend is going to sacrifice himself so you and the rest of the gang could escape by blowing a bomb, knowing he will be blown up with it. He couldn't ignite it. Would help him knowing that you basically took a part in killing him? (It won't kill you, it's a slightly more complicated scenario in the story)
No, I couldn't do it. Maybe I'm not strong enough, or maybe it just isn't the right call, but I'd try to find a better way. Or even sacrifice myself instead.
