Band Kids?

I don't know, I think they sound worse than a trumpet. They're almost always out of tune unless you're a really good player. Not that I don't respect what you're saying @@Winter, I just disagree, but I'm also biased so… XD

I figured. You are a trumpet player. But, we do have a really good cornet player… I mean when I say good, I mean he can hit the 4th octave like it is nothing…

Holy cow! We have trumpet player that can hit most of those notes easily but he's a senior and is leaving next year :'( but we don't have any good cornet players so that does't help either XD

The best thing about him is that he is a sophomore…

Well, now I have to go to band class… Man, I hate schedule changes…

Aww, lucky!! Have fun!!

We sightread a piece called cartoon symphony…

Who's it by?

It's arranged by Larry Clark

No just guitar… but I could learn baritone. What's one more instrument…

There's a girl in my band who claims she can play '11 instruments at a professional level'.
She started on saxophone and switched to percussion. I taught her 5 notes on trombone and that's one of her 12 instruments.

That's funny. I can really play 4 instruments at a pro level, but the guitar and piano are mediocre.

She can't even play her normal instruments at a 'professional' high school level, tbh

Chickenbeats

Hi, Euphonium player here

Chickenbeats you sound like my friend.

He refers to a baritone as a Euphonium

@CharBar

Hello! Baritone player;)

Hi.

@CharBar

My band has a concert this week and one of the songs we are playing is called A Disney Celebration. And you know, the song is great and all, but when you get to 'Part of your world" from the little mermaid, our conductor is constantly changing the tempo and the baritone part is already confusing enough so I'm like help

That sounds great. In our piece, we have sixteenth note runs for like 8 measures at around 172, then thirty second runs for eight measures at like 156, then it goes into cut time, and then the tempo drops to around 60.

I wish I had that problem with trying to not screw up tempo. I just have one. trying to move my fingers fast enough for the thirty second notes…

We have to play a lot of grace notes with a tempo around 115, I think, in one of our songs this year so that gets difficult when having to move your finger really fast XD

Grace notes are my enemy…

I hate them sometimes but they can be fun to play. It's even harder on piano though. Especially on really fast songs XD

A. A.

Does orchestra count? I play violin (not very well) and I'm hoping to learn bass soon
