There aren’t currently any ways to directly upload to the threads, but there are multiple ways to get around it
If you’re stealing the memes off the internet, you can long tap the image, click “open image in new tab”, then copy the url from the new tab and paste it into your reply
Not all links show up properly, some you have to click on to see the image, but if you use Reddit, Pinterest, or similar sites it’ll usually work fine
If you’re uploading your own wholesome memes, you can post them to other image sites such as imgur or imgbb, then long tap, open in new tab, copy url, paste.
And if you don’t want to use outside apps, you can make a new character/item/location/etc and upload images to the gallery section
once it’s uploaded, go to that gallery, tap the image you want and it’ll open in a new tab. Copy the url, paste it into chat, and you’re good to go. :D
(I know it seems super confusing at first but it’s not too bad after a while, you’ll get used to it)
