If you haven't read them yet, I highly reccomend the following:

  • Scythe by Neal Shusterman My favourite read of 2018. I keep trying to think of exactly what to say to sell this book but nothing that I can come up with really captures how amazing this book is. Please I'm begging you just read this book.
  • The Edge Chronicles Criminally underrated fantasy series! They're marketed towards a younger audience but I'm 23 and I still love these books. The world building is great and it also has some pretty sweet illustrations
  • Sylo by DJ MacHale If you like fast paced books with lots of action, minimal romance then I'd recommend this one.
  • I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga I'd especially recommend this one to anyone like me who likes to stay up late watching Youtube videos about serial killers. Some parts are a little graphic so if that's going to bother you then I'm going to (reluctantly) say maybe don't read this one.
@thehobbit

I got Scythe for Christmas! I havent read it yet, im reading Petticoats and Piracy first, but im really excited to read it!

Daemon Voices by Philip Pullman.
It's a collection of the author's essays and speeches on storytelling. It's a very easy read, and gives a lot of good advice on storytelling.

book

I’ll have to look into it.
