A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemmingway (it's sad but great)
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradburn (yes it has boring moments but overall it's really good)
The Lord of the Flies by William Golding (creepy but worth it)
Their Eyes were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston (so, so, good)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (i know, i know, but it's actually really well written)
The Scarlet Pimpernel and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy were already mentioned but damn,,,,,these books are my faves,,,…
The Chosen by Chaim Potok (really heartwarming and also I never knew that much about Jewish people after WW2)
Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card (literally the BEST sci-fi I've ever read. So perfect. Read this.)

I've read To Kill A Mockingbird. I've seen the movie for Ender's Game, but I haven't read the book(s).

@ravens

hey do you want to know a really good book?

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

@rot-baby-rot!
  1. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson (It's a comic about a shapeshifter, an "evil" scientist, and a knight, and it's one of my all time favorite stories ever)

  2. The Gideon Trilogy (Two children get sent back in time to the year 1763 and meet a former cutpurse named Gideon Seymour who tries to help them get back home, meanwhile people freak out in the twenty-first century. All three books are amazing, though the ending to the last one is a little sad and I ended up sitting on the couch sobbing after reading it)

i read the first of the Gideon trilogy!!!

@rot-baby-rot!

(It's good, right? It gets a lot more complicated in the third book)

#ravenclawfangirl

yes it is awsome

someone pls read BOOK SCAVENGER

@Elder-God-Whisper

Yeah her powers are one of the best parts of the story. But she barely uses them, I feel. I dunno, it kind of seems like the publisher is making her drag out the story to make more money? At least, that's how it felt in the last book.

OH MY GODS!!! I'VE ACTUALLY FOUND SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ THE BOOKS!!!! YOU GUYS ARE LIKE MIRACLES TO ME, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! And by the way, I ship Sophie/Keefe. If anyone tries telling me Sophie is better with any other character, I will go ultimate fangirl on them.

@ravens

I've started reading this book, partly due to this thread. I'm not very far into it, but I'm liking it so far.

yay!

The Queen's Rising by Rebecca Ross is amazing! The book could stand by its self, But the sequel, The Queen's Resistance, is coming out in March.
