Beep

I sigh as I wake up to my annoying alarm clock. Another boring same old day here. It’s always the same, wake up, go to school, go home, do homework, sleep, with food breaks in between. No time to play games, watch tv, and what are friends. Here it’s always work, work and just little bit of extra work.

I drag my tired body out of bed and into the bathroom. Another sigh escapes my mouth when I look into the mirror to see my blonde hair a mess. I died it blonde instead of my boring black hair because I was tired of everybody being the same. I just want to different. But no. Everyone has to be a doctor or lawyer or something smart like that. Me, I want to be saxophonist. But, I guess I’m going to inherit my parents business and run that.

I finger comb my hair quickly and run out of the bathroom to get some clothes. I grab the first thing in sight and throw it on, which is my adidas pants and my red, black, and white Gucci shirt. Almost tripping down the stairs, I yell goodbye to my parents and grab something random for breakfast.

Pulling out of my driveway in my car I take a bite of my mystery food, turns out it was an apple. I turn on the radio just to see what people are listening to now of days. Twice’s ‘TT’ was playing so I kept it on, occasionally singing a line or two. Luck isn’t on my side on my way to school, I hit all red lights, most with people crossing the street. At this rate I was going to be late for school, but I don’t really care it just gets me out of class.

Finally pulling up to school, I slowly make my way into class, taking as much time as possible. Saying ‘hi’ to everyone I walk past helps me complete this task. I have all of my credits done to graduate, I’m just here because it’s better than being at home. And I get free saxophone lessons, even though I’m really good at it and there’s not much else my teacher can teach me -I’m better than she is- I still enjoy it.

“Ok class, now that everyone is here I would like to announce my final project for this semester. It will be worth fifty percent of your grade,” He glares at a couple students on the other side of the room from me. “So try not to mess up. In this project you will plan out your life. By this I mean what will your profession be, what type of house will you live in, where will you live, etc. Through out the semester I will give out bills taxes and you must figure out how to pay them and pay them, meaning fill out the bill and taxes properly.” He rambles on as I continue staring out the window, until something shiny catches my eye on the ground outside. I can’t figure out what it is because I’m two floors above the ground, all I can tell is that it’s about the size of a quarter and the sun reflects off of it at just the right angle for me to see. I plan to go to it after class because I cant get it out of my brain.

When the bell finally rings, I jump out of my desk and run out to the hallway, almost knocking over quite a few of people. Quickly dropping off my all my books in my locker I run out to the school yard, scouring for the shiny object that distracted me. Looking like a mad man, I jump around trying to catch the sun's reflection off of the object. When I finally see it I dash over to the object and pick it up. It turns out to be a heart shaped locket. I try to open it but upon closer examination I find that there is a tiny key whole, which I would assume would let me open it. I look around in the area around where I found the locket to see if they key happened to be there also. I luckily had a free period so I didn’t need to worry about being late for class.

The smell of food and people talking welcomes me into the lunch room. Hoping in line, I strike up a conversation with the person in front of me not really paying attention to it. I hold the locket in my hand with my fingers acting as safe wall, it has started to have this reassuring feeling when I touch it. Staring out into the crowd of hungry teenagers a certain light pink haired person catches my attention. I grab the rest of my food in a rush and head over to him.
