Calling all American people! I have a question...

Do you eat bananas? It sounds like a weird question, and you probably do eat them, it's just that I'm an ignorant being who lives on the other side of the world and has no idea whether bananas grow abundantly in the US or not. I'm setting a story there and I was about to let my character chomp into a banana when I remembered I know next to nothing about what fruits are available there. Sorry for my complete and utter incompetence. I'd be extremely grateful if someone with even the slightest bit of knowledge could answer. Thanks! :P

I know bananas grown where I live. And yes we eat them. Potassium!

I myself don't eat bananas because I find that they make my stomach extremely upset, but yes, we do grow bananas here in the states. They're mainly grown in Florida and Hawaii but are also grown states like Texas, California, Louisiana, and Arizona.

Of course we eat bananas! Bananas are good! Always bring a banana to a party. Why, you ask? Good source of potassium.

Nope, that first part is totally real. Haven't you seen that vine where the guy on the tv eats a banana whole and the dude watching it goes, "That's not how you eat a banana!" That's because he ate the peel and the white part. The white part is obviously poisoned and must never be eaten!! 😂

To be honest I just wait until bananas get brown and I use them to make banana muffins instead of eating them most of the time. I've never actually heard of eating the peal

Bananas also sometimes get made into banana bread, too (at least I know that's true for Canada and Canada and the US aren't so different)

We grow them here in California.

As a banana, I can testify that I only grow where I can go vacationing. 😂
