Maybe this is just me personally but I feel like everyone views Cap as the 'Good Guy' in Civil War and the like when he's really not

@WriteOutofTime

aMEN. Think of it this way: Tony Stark would do anything for anyone. He would give his life for a world that doesn't care about him. Steve Rogers would do anything for Bucky. Also consider: if civil war was real who would you side with?

Tony Stark in a heartbeat

Idk, I’ve never considered either person completely right. On the one hand, the Avengers DESTROY everything when they fight, and like yeah, it’s great that they can detect the danger pretty early. And sometimes waiting for government or military to step in won’t work. It just takes forever and is inefficient, and the danger may be too close by the time they interfere. Then again, jumping in without consulting the government first is just so dangerous for the poor civilians. I would like to believe there is some middle ground they could have reached. (Ahhhh sorry for rambling)
Basically, there is no good guy in my eyes.

@WriteOutofTime

Yeah I see what you're saying, butttt you realize SHIELD was a government organization. The avengers were a sector of the government, kinda like the police. Without SHIELD, the avengers don't have a clear direction. I know I wouldn't trust a bunch of super powered people who go to foreign countries and cause damage to keep themselves in check. Someone's gotta do it.

Yeah, I get that. It’s just scary to see that there are two extremes: 1. A bunch of supers go places and destroy things to serve justice and protect people, perhaps causing more damage than what would’ve occurred otherwise, and 2. SHIELD possibly taking to long to act once a threat is recognized and more damage than necessary is caused by the bad guys.
In a way though, it’s almost like real life. Both solutions are pretty bad, and no one bothers to sit and talk it out.

Idk mates

I guess I just saw Cap as reckless

@HawkMan

Idk, I just think he's been placed on this pedestal and everyone has built him up as something he's not.
That's just kinda how I see it, Idk.

HELL YES

@HawkMan

Tony is just a child that needs to be protected

Absolutely

I think the problem with most people is that they haven't watched the Iron Man movies so they haven't been on the whole journey and seen how far he's come

@HawkMan

He's come so far and fought so much and he just can't catch a break

Yeah ._.)

Isn't that true for Cap though as well? (Don't get me wrong, I love Tony. He's one of my favourites. I'm with @Becfromthedead actually. I kind of agree and disagree with both Tony and Cap's views in CACW).

@HawkMan

I wasn't saying cap hasn't, everyone in those movies just can't seem to catch a break, but that creates the movies and hurts my feelings.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Tony’s struggle is always overlooked in favor of the other characters. Nobody ever seems to recognize that he has gone through his fair share, actually more than, of heartbreak and hardship.

I don't know that that's true. (Which of course makes me sound like I overlook his struggle)

I feel like I will incite anger if I say that Cap and Tony never seemed that close. In fact none of the Avengers did. I'm not trying to say that that post didn't make a good point, I just don't feel like they ever reached the "family" stage, at least in the MCU. Nobody in the MCU seems genuinely close, even Cap and Bucky. They just do reckless shit for each other.

I second that

Although I must say Natasha and Clint seemed to be pretty close

Oh my gosh, I looked in the mirror, and I was seriously blushing so hard guys!
