This is what I said:
"Yo quireo chocolat para tu"
I know, not very good, but still

oof lol
spanish is pretty straightforward (definitely not like english lmao) so I think the message is clear enough
thanks, lol. It translates to "I want chocolate for you"
I remember pronouncing it like choclet when I was learning english
What is your native language? Spanish, I'm guessing.
Yes, Im from El Salvador
Yeah. There are a lot of people on here who are really good at English, I didn't even know it wasn't their first language. You're one of them!
Thanks, I been practicing since I was a kid so yeah, I kind off have to :)
Same with French. My dad starting teaching me at a very young age. I very recently started learning Spanish.
Well, it´s a little bit of an advantage, both of them have the same root so part of the spelling isn´t that different (I dont know, I dont speak french but I manage to understand a some sentences)
You write an English word, add vowels, and pronounce it without the vowels but in the way so that the vowels would be there.
The pronunciation… that´s always a mess, I remember having a similar problem with portuguese when our school tried to teach us how to speak it (all the teachers quit and nobody learned portuguese…)
Yeah, it's kinda weird. Lol.
And most languages that have latin as a root have gender specific pronouns that normally are hard to remember for most people
Yeah, I kind of throw those out the window when speaking anything other than english. I literally just. Don't give a crap. La, le, la, el, whatever. One of them is fine.
And when you have to se el for something and él for other stuff, some of those rules are ignored even by us
I just don't bother. Takes too long, and it gets the message through if you don't use the right one.
Yeah, I mean, we all have to known the right way of writing those because of school and such and I can´t let myself have bad grammar on my finished work (even for my own projects when I translate them)
@Imperfect_Autumn and @Chogiwae for being, in my opinion the Roleplaying prodigies.
flashbacks to group chats I've been in where everyone's using google translate to speak Danish and the Danish kid is cringing
Falls over laughing Been there, on both sides.
