Usually for me it's my dad screaming up the stairs "ALICE! GO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!" and then I scream back "JUST LET ME FINISH MY CHAPTER!" And then he makes this half-exasperated half-angry growl-sigh kind of sound that makes it absolutely clear that he knows it's not going to be just this one chapter and that he's not happy about it.

@SorceressWriter well, if it's my mom not my dad then she goes right up the stairs and bursts into my room, yells my name (middle name and everything) "if you don't get downstairs and take the garbage out right now—" and then there's some sort of threat.
