n o o o o o o o o o o

Except they are really cute and chubby when you're viewing them in photos or from a distance, but when you see one up close, in real life, standing on your freaking arm it's suddenly not so adorable

Pfft! Kid me would put his face to the crack at the bottom of the hive and just watch their lives. They never minded.

Musical bootlegs

Like watching a musical online instead of in the theater?

I support them, as long as people will still go see shows. Like, I'll look up boots for a show I know I will see if I can, especially if I won't be able to see the OBC or the show isn't coming to my town. I can't afford to go to NYC or even Chicago every time I want to see a show, but if they come to Milwaukee or Madison I'll go see them.

I am against them even though I like the idea. I think we ought to respect the right of an artist to be payed for their work and not cheat them of it.

But if you never have the opportunity to go see it, as Jynnie pointed out, it's great to have access to them via internet.

But then the artist isn't paid what they deserve.

It's a great deal for the viewer, but I think it cheats and disrespects the creator.

I personally believe bootleg anything should only be utilized if absolutely necessary. I myself grew up on bootleg movies my uncle would get us, and I know for a fact I would not have been able to see the movies otherwise.

"should only be utilized if absolutely necessary." ??? Is it ever necessary to watch a movie?

group

If you have no way of being able to view the movie, musical or anything else and, say, will be judge immensely by your peers if you don't, then yes. It's necessary.

Necessary means a need. Saving someone from being "judged" is not a need.

People being mean to me because I didn't see Captain Marvel doesn't mean I should be able to get in the theater for free.

Being unable to see one movie is one thing. When someone is unable to see most movies, however, can lead to social isolation. Yes, there are some people who function fine without television, but many people would be unable to.

I'm calling BS on that. A bold move I know. But I had no television and I don't watch the latest movies and I am still better at social interaction than most people.

And what do you mean leads to social isolation? It takes away your ability to communicate with other humans???

Dom what do you think of musical bootlegs if the show is closed?

Hmm… If they aren't making money off of it as it has been taken off the stage… It's probably okay.
