I heard a chuck-chuck-clang, chuck-chuck-clang type noise as my friend’s friend’s mint green VW Bug slowed down to a stop. “Come on, you stupid thing! Start already!” I said under my breath as I got out of my seat to kick the dumb car as an attempt to encourage it to start. “Otis, it’s no use. Andi told us that it had 300,000 miles on it.” Nicole, my traveling partner and best friend told me, handing me a crisp five dollar bill. “How do you always guess these things?” is the best paragraph that I've ever written.
