One thing you should know if trying to convince him of something is that in most cases just simply asking him continuously won’t get you anywhere. You have to appeals to emotion and or logic to get anywhere.
That makes sense. A fresh voice can be great, it's hard to think about things from different perspectives by yourself sometimes.
