Who frickin knows (if you do cheers)

Heyo!

@RedTheLoveless

What does the Z Stand for?

It was just marking us in chronological order. Millenials are also known as Generation Y, so it makes sense our generation is called Gen Z, but we are also known as the iGeneration or iGen but that's not as common

location_city

Honestly I think we should be called gen memelord

No, because some of us aren't interested in memes. I find them annoying unless it's really funny, no offense, Generation Crazy sounds better.

Gen Z is the descriptor for people who were alive when 9/11 happened but were too young to remember it right? Tbh all the descriptors for it are vague so I suppose it doesn't really matter; we all know the kind of people we mean when we talk about us.

No because the other half weren't born yet. People born 2000 and up is Gen Z

person_off

fair enough

Aren't people born 1995 and up Gen Z? https://www.careerplanner.com/Career-Articles/Generations.cfm

I was always told it was 2000 and up.

like I said, all the descriptors for it are really vague. Some people consider it the last generation born in the 1900s (hence Z) but I think that doesn't really include most of the people who should count. It's basically the first generation raised entirely with widespread technology, and are kind of around 15 - 20 rn I would say?

No, They range from around 0-16 per say, why because Im a flipping kid.

Well the Florida shooting and march for our lives activists are firmly considered gen z, and are in their late teens. Me and my friends consider ourselves gen z and are around midteens. Millennials are now about mid twenties to thirties. That's just how I think of it, but again it's pretty arguable.

I consider myself a Gen Z and I'm just on the cusp of teenage-hood. One month till I'm thirteen :3

About 10 - 20 then?

person_off

0-20, Generation Alpha doesn't start until what 2020?

I wouldn't really consider anyone under about ten to be gen z imo, we'll see what they turn out to be.
