mytholigy, love it XD

@Broken Princess

If I was a demigod, I'd want to be the daughter of Aeolus or Khione. I read the Percy Jackson series religiously and if you name any of the gods or goddesses mentioned in the series, I can tell you about them. I've taken it upon myself to learn every version of every myth.

@Bianca di Angelo

I like Hestia because she's the only one who hasn't messed up Percy's life in some way. :/

@ravens

Me too

@Lord_Hellstrande

Thanatos didn't mess up his life. He was a pretty neutral figure in the whole series

@blue_topaz

Ooh good point

@Bianca di Angelo

also i quite like hades

@Lord_Hellstrande

He's actually not the bad guy media makes him out to be. I mean…he named his dog Spot. Kind of funny when you actually know what Cerberus means.

@HadesKidatHeart

I really like Hades too, but the thing I always wonder about is that Poseidon seems to be soooooo much more powerful than Zeus, their power structure doesn't make all that much sense sometimes. Also, Percy Jackson is the best and I love it so much!

@Lord_Hellstrande

The reason the power structure doesn't make sense is because the gods drew lots out of Hermes' helmet when they overthrew the titans. Certain things were grouped together and were given to the god who got them. Still does seem kind of strange though, I will admit.

@HadesKidatHeart

Yeah, I know they drew lots or threw dice (its different and stuff) but it just seems funny that all the humans are still subscribing to it even though I would just worship in order of most powerful. You know, that's all I'm saying.

@Bianca di Angelo

i honestly dont get why hades is the always known as the bad guy. we were doing greek mytho in history an di had this whole rant after about why hades isnt the bad guy. my friends were so bored cos only one of them had read pjo/hoo and actually knew what i was talking about but she was sick that day.

BUT HADES IS NOT THE BAD GUY

@HadesKidatHeart

Agreed, Hades is actually one of the better gods in many ways. I mean compared to the exploits of his brothers Hades is quite tame, and really respectful (at least of women).

Yeah, in one version of the Hades/Persephone myth, Eros was the one to blame for her kidnapping because he likes to go around shooting people and making them fall in love instantly, so even that instance might be excusable on Hades' part. And don't even get me started on how Zeus was with so many women when he had a wife, and how both he and Poseidon had the worst tempers.

@blue_topaz

Oh, lord. Zeus may actually be one of my least repected gods/goddesses, because he has zero respect for both his wife and those in love with him. Like, at all. And it really infuriates me.

in the original version persephone wandered into the underworld, she and hades fell in love and she_willingly_ ate the pomegranate
hades did nothing wrong

YES, Hades is innocent!

@Bianca di Angelo

#HadesIsNotTheBadGuy

@Lord_Hellstrande

On the subject of Eros (Cupid for the Romans) he actually doesn't have eyes. He blindly fires his arrows and doesn't care who it hits. That's where the phrase "Love is blind" comes from

@HadesKidatHeart

Wow, that's awkward.

@Lord_Hellstrande

His brother, Anteros, is the god of primal/animalistic lust so that doesn't make things better, does it?

@HadesKidatHeart

I would say not ; )

That's really cool. I had no idea! I'm not sure why anyone thought it was acceptable to let him have a bow, though.

@Lord_Hellstrande

Ask his mom or one of the Aphrodite kids we've got. There has to be a few

@ravens

My friend took the quiz on readriordan.com and she got Aphrodite but what's funny is that her name's Piper

So that's the quiz I've heard about. I finally went to take it, and I got Hades, surprising no one.

@ravens

Lol
