Heavy Debate **Controversial Topic** (for real this time)

Let's say that a famous celebrity commits suicide and jumps off of a building. In her suicide note, it says that she did so because another celebrity coerced her into having sex for fame back at the beginning of her career, but later, she didn't want to do it anymore.
When she tried to leave, he blackmailed her and said that he'd release the info and certain pictures of herself.
Whose fault is it: the woman's for having sex in the first place and not leaving while she still could, or the man's for blackmailing her in the first place and pushing her to a point where she committed suicide?

Honestly, I think it was the man's fault, because he pushed her to a certain point. If I were to get raped, it wouldn't be my fault. It would be the fault of my raper. (Were they in a relationship?)

I think both sides are easily debatable. On the one hand, there's always the misinformed thought "Why did she get herself into such a situation? And then why'd she stay when it got abusive?" But you can never really know these things, and however bad a relationship gets it takes a very long amount of time for the attachment to completely disappear.
Of course, the man was very wrong to blackmail her; that's never the way to go, and there's always a much more humane approach. All in all, I believe the man was cruel to said woman and that it's his fault.

It’s not a matter of whose fault. The circumstances are simply as they are. Should the woman have had sex in order to gain fame? No. Should the man have even ever offered? No. Is blackmail a terrible, sadistic thing to do to someone? Absolutely. That being said, it isn’t the man’s fault that she chose to take her own life. It is also not her fault, necessarily, because while her decision may not have been sound, how could she have anticipated that those circumstances would be the eventual consequences of her actions from years ago. In short, it is not anyone’s fault. Both sides have fault, but are not responsible for each other’s actions.
