I love it! I would reccomend foreshadowing their fate much, but overall you seem to be getting onto a great idea!

I don't usually reply to these because I'm really bad at giving advice…
But I wanted you to know I liked your idea so

While I normally wouldn't find a book about any wars or history interesting, because I've never really gotten into historical fiction, from my side of the reading/writing universe I think that the idea of adding the fantasy side is great! Not only are you bringing in readers of all sorts, you are also creating a seriously original story. If you ever want someone to read it as you go or when you are finished, then hit me up. Good luck! Stick with the plot (It's seriously cool), but don't be afraid to change it a little as you go.
