So in my plot theres gonna be like a tree of life something but I dont want to do that because it seems so cliche so what should I do?

Go for it!
I have something like that "The Oak of Life". Change it up, make it interesting. Explore, expand!

The name is different and it has a certain power. Yours may be completely different magic wise.

Ill think about that………………..but what about something that isn't a tree though. I still feel it would still be cliche.

I've never seen a tree used as a life force power-like thing. Then again, i am uncultured swine.
Ideas:
A stone? A river, a pond?

Tuna Yuna Birb

rolls in and smacks into a wall Sup peeps?

That'd be great. For some reason I suck at drawing faces for guys… I mean, I've drawn some decent ones, but I have hard time with eyes strangely enough.

Hmm give me a bit, i'll draw eyes and post it on a separate thread for you. I'll see if i can do the faces too.

@Winter I know, that's what all the greatest comic/manga artists do.

My thing takes heavy inspiration from anime, specifically most Shounen. Not as much in their plots, or worldbuilding, but more of the aura it gives off. There's lots of travelling around. There are lots of fights. Some of the things I include are very loosely inspired by the Dragon Ball franchise, the Naruto franchise, the DC universe, or the Marvel universe. But I would never want to rip them off at all, because I have too much respect for the series' and such. But things happen like…
-If a character moved too fast to be seen, they'll fade out and fade in again, like what happens in most anime, it's usually referred to as "flash-stepping", of course.
-If a character gets a strong hit in, the person hit will go flying, causing massive amounts of collateral damage before they're lodged in a tree or mountain, this is sometimes called "the Dragonball effect" as you might or might not know.
-Some characters who are borderline superhuman or over can defy physics with ease, although the way I have it isn't like anime.
-Lots of characters have personality that resembles anime clichés.
-Characters may have an aura around them on occasion.
-Characters can sometimes use vehicles and weapons in impossible ways.
-Sci-Fi and Fantasy are blended flawlessly.
-Personifications of concepts are very common. In fsct, the Harbingers of Apocalypse are personifications of War, Famine, Drought, Plague, Pestilence and Catastrophe (deceased pre-series), and the Seven Deadly Sins themselves are demonically personified versions of well, the Seven Deadly Sins.

I've also got this loose idea where the fantasy races if lore and that kind of thing were extraterrestrials from another dimension and Atlantis and other phenominon may be linked to them… it's still a bit sketchy.

Tell me then.

Well, I haven't got much.
There's an exploration team that's in deep space and the ship malfunctions or something (idk) and the main character (Her name is Ellen Weaver at this point) Is rescued and taken to the other dimension. I haven't really got a plot yet… I seem to tend to lean towards the human vs. nature type thing, but I don't really know how to go about it in a unique way…

It seems unique in itself, even if you portray it in an unoriginal way, it'd still work.

Yeah, but I look at it I'm like, gosh, it kinda feels like Avatar…

I don't think it bears that much of a resemblance.

Okay. :) Gtg to bed. See ya in the morning.

I'm honestly thinking of having her switch to the non-human side, and that's why I think it might be too much like Avatar.

Hi, I kind of want to talk about my story a little bit, but even I'm confused as to what's happening, as far as genre. It's in a fantasy-esque world, since there's magic, but it's not about magic, or some magical villain. It's more about a revolt against a tyrannical government, and the focus is mostly on the characters, I guess.

That sounds good.
