I need advice and a safe ranting space.

Probably just me being biased-
Kind of hard to not get angry when a friend of mine is actively distressed about it, but truth is I really don't know the other half of the situation. Definitely doesn't excuse it, though.

Being biased is fine. Anger for your friend is normal. And it deinitely doesn't excuse it. I just always like to try to find balance in a situation, know what I mean? It also helps me take things less personally, because when I know a person has issues, or think they might, then it makes the problem not about me. They would be beefing regardless, which takes some of the personal attack out of it, which always makes it easier for me to deal with.

My friend Blair knows the other half and she agrees birdie’s being immature about it, so if that says anything-

Oh, for sure an immature way to deal with things. Theres nothing good about it. But some folks just havent had the space to learn to mature yet.
Of course, I could be completely wrong and maybe birdie is just a jerk at her core. I dont know.
But something tells me no, since she was part of your friend group in the first place, and you seem like a better judge of character than that

Yeah, I did try to rant a little on Sky about it, but obviously that worked out terribly.
The funny thing is, normally Birdie shouldn’t have seen my message boat since I’m blocked. But one of their friends saw it and decided to screenshot it and send it to them.
Btw, I am on good terms with that friend now, I’m assuming she felt pressured to do so. Birdie’s been pressuring her a lot, especially now that she’s defending me and being my friend through this-
So notebook is the only place I really feel safe rn
unless Birdie or her bestie Willow (the one who made me cry) finds it, then I’m definitely screwed-

They did seem really nice when I first met them, and we were great friends for a while- but then I made friends with their friends, and I clicked better with some of them than I did with Birdie, which may have been the start of the issue-
I met Birdie close to a year ago, btw
They especially didn’t appreciate when I became pretty much best friends with Liz, since me and Liz are the same age and vibe with each other more than we would some of the others. Birdie kept saying things to Blair like “I wish I never introduced Ame to Liz” and pretty much implying that they wanted Liz all to themselves, which is a little weird-
So yeah, this has been brewing for a while, it only exploded just recently

Ok, so. That's called codependency, and it's dangerous, but it's not jerk behavior. It's hurt behavior. It's not excusable, but I definitely understand it, because the more you describe the situation, the more I realize I have been Birdie before…

I introduced one of my dearest friends to the guy who is now her husband. She was one of the only people who showed care for me at that time in my life, and I became codependent on her. To an unhealthy degree.
When she and the fella started getting closer, I felt Super cut out of the friendship, even though they hadn't done that at all. It was just my perception because my brain was so off. I made drama and created situations to force them to come get me emotionally, so I could feel included… Even tho they included me in normal healthy things all the time.

They finally got tired of it, and essentially told me they couldn't be my emotional support anymore. At the time,.I took it as betrayal, but once I got to a better spot mentally, I recognized that it was Entirely my fault. And we're good friends again now, all 3 of us. But it took me a minute.

I can't say if that's exactly the case for Birdie. But it certainly sounds similar

Seriously, don't feel bad though. My friends did the right thing, and yall are too by not putting up with her garbage. She's gotta learn, and really, the nicest thing you could do is what youre doing- apply tough love.

I've been in enough situations like this to have a default of not caring about it after a set amount of time after it blows up… Not a good thing, but hey. I guess it helps with the anxiety because lately I'm having none when we're talking about birdie. I am done putting up with them, so unless I need to talk to them, I'm not going to.

It does sound similar. Not quite the same, but definitely similar. I was one of the people birdie would talk to occasionally about their family problems and at one time problems our friend group was having with another friend.
So when I started spending more and more time with ame and less time with them… Yeah. We drifted apart, and me and Ame got closer. And it never felt like we were drifting apart until birdie started to make a problem out of us. And we were completely fine at times, too. The same day this started blowing up all three of us had a rather long and interesting conversation (thatidontrememberbecausehahamemorywhere) that we were all engaged in. And then when that ended me and ame started talking about something and guess what they felt left out and moved away, not saying anything. And then they brought up the being ignored. It got bad. Now we're here.

Yeah, she's definitely dealing with some strong codependency issues. Yall are unfortunately caught in the middle of her problems.

To that end, dont take it personally, Liz or Ame.
