I need help making an important decision.

So, I have a very difficult home situation and I need help making a choice. Ill share the entire story.
So, me and my 7 year old sister are adopted. We have been here for 5ish to 6ish years now and I've noticed that me and my sister are facing emotional, mental and slight physical abuse. Our mother hits our sister every time she's angry about something. Its not really bad, but she does slap her arm and leg and grab her really hard.
She also threatens to beat us constantly and tells us things such as "y'all are killing me" "y'all ruined my life" "I regret ever adopting you" and more. She also has threatened to hit me in the head with a hammer over my ipad, has said shell give up rights, and more.
I have contacted cps and so far they have done NOTHING. So I need help,
Do I or do I not call cps again and this time, also get someone ELSE to call?

I would recommend contacting cps again; the more notifications they get/the more insistent you are, the more likely they'll listen. Also, if your mother does happen to carry through with her threats, you should call the cops. If you have any other family members/family friends that you trust, then tell them the situation too so they can hopefully help you and your sister. And if your mother leaves any markings from hitting you or your sister, take pictures of it. The police and cps will definitely take this seriously if you have photographic evidence to back up your claims. I'm sorry it's not a lot of advice, but I hope it'll help you

Thank you so much. I certainly will. Sadly we have no more family left but I do have friends and resources that will help me and my sister. It seems to me the abuse is just getting worse each year. Even my little sister told me she doesn't feel safe at home and wished she didn't go home every day. She knows the definition of safety too so I know she's not just saying that because I fear going home.

Thank you. I do too. I've already been through something similar with my real parents and I'm honestly ashamed of myself for letting this go on for so long.
