I really need help with this

So I'm writing a story where a group of six people gather together to get six magical gems (the foundation of there world) after one has been stolen but how do they come together there all supposed to live in diffrent parts of the state I mean the main character can't just pull up to a 7-11 and scream get in to the five unspecting shoppers

Maybe they each had a dream or something telling them to meet at a specific location, and all of them have the same location. They meet each other there and proceed with their mission?
