If you could have one superpower.

@Monoceros

Yeah totally. How've you been, btw?

@itsnamira

Huh. After years of growing up watching and reading about superheroes, you'd think I'd be able to answer easily, but I'm really struggling here.

My answer would depend on what world I would have powers in. If I lived in a world full of other people who had superpowers, I think power replication/absorption would be really cool. However, if I had powers in the world we are currently living in, I think I'd like to have plant manipulation. Totally not influenced by my favorite Gotham villainess Poison Iy.

@Monoceros

Replication/Absroption (of other powers I imagine) really reminds me of Peter Petrelli from that 2006 TV series called "Heroes." Go watch it if you haven't. It's great.

shurikenwolfbadass_13

I think those are neat powers. I like transmutation because it's like…
"You want to fight, eh?"
snaps fingers
"Now you're a giant slug with a human mind! Have fun trying to find shade and think about what you've done!"

Black hole manipulation is cool too because I could form a black hole in an irredeemably evil villain's body and shut it off when they're gone, but only if I gotta!

@Mindful_Bison

@Monoceros Just came up with a better one after seeing what you said: Spatial Isolation

The ability to remove myself from the physical plane. This way, I don't have to change anyone else. I just disappear, probably to a pocket dimension that defines peace for myself. Maybe a quiet garden with a small stream going through, where the plants tend to themselves and are always beautiful. I can't change anyone if I'm gone.

@Monoceros

Now that I'd like to have! A sort of personal peace. Great idea!

@Mindful_Bison

Thanks. If only it weren't fiction.

I would want probability power. The chances of me getting a million bucks is zero, right? I just changed it to 100%. The chances of me getting an A in math? Now 100%. That or hydrokinesis.

@Mindful_Bison

Nice

@Mr.Misfit

I just want invisibility. Nothing else. All I want is to see what people do when they think I'm not around, and slip into places I shoudln't be.

shurikenwolfbadass_13

That's all neat!!!

I can’t choose between being invisible and reading minds….. AHH

@SiberianHuskyGirl

oooo invisiblity

Cloaking
Slightly different from invisibility. Can be invisible but, also put on a false appearance to hide my ugly potato self.

@Mindful_Bison

woah this place is alive again

Also cool idea

I think I’d choose telekinesis. Everybody always talks about how they'd love to use Jedi mind tricks, but they only work on select people. I’ve always wanted telekinesis because I’m lazy and it sounds fun.

@WriteOutofTime

The power to be average at everything I try. So, I want to invent the cure for cancer? well, I don't get it, but I do invent a better treatment. I want to fly? Well, I can't quite fly, but I can jump pretty high/hover/etc. The power to be mediocre at talents no one else has, essentially.

@Mindful_Bison

That's… actually brilliant!

@WriteOutofTime

I saw it somewhere, so i'm not gonna take the credit lol. But it just seems like such a cool power to have!

@Mr.Misfit

@Monoceros You've seen Heroes! I only just now saw that. It's great, right?

@Monoceros

Yeah!! I'm re-watching it, I hadn't seen in in such a long time. I'm currently in Season 2, Episode 7 or 8.
Have you seen it all?

@Mr.Misfit

It's been too long, but yeah. All of the original, at least. We all know how the reboot went…. RIP.

@Lord_Dunconius

Power to affect probability.

@Mr.Misfit

@Lord_Dunconius Steelheart, much?

@Lord_Dunconius

The rock band?

@Mr.Misfit

Nope. the book. The general principle is that people have super powers, and are corrupted by them. One such character, background though he may be, has the power to affect probability. Your comment reminded me of that.

Wow. I have legitimately never heard of that. Sounds cool.

@Mr.Misfit

It's actually a series of books. It's kinda cheezy in some places (the protagonist is 19 years old and really weird), but the whole concept and books in general? Frickin amazing.

@Monoceros

Sounds good :)
Might give it a read sometime.
