Magnus Chase was a good concept, but it was poorly executed. Rick would give paragraphs on politics and not on plot. I mean, I like Alex Fierro, and genderfluid rep is always good, but he didn’t have to bring it up every. Single. Time. Alex was mentioned, and have a majority of her personality depend on her gender. That’s exactly how not to write diverse characters.

The first series was great, the second was okay, MC was fine, but ToA was grating. I really don’t like Apollo as a main character, he was better as a side character
