Lost media is when a piece of media is no longer available to the public. When people find out about lost media, they will usually try to look for it in a variety of ways, typically on the internet. A good example is this youtuber who looks for lost media called Lsupersonicq, who does several searches, including one for a Hannah Montana anime series

Just about anything, episodes of a tv show, toys, music. a mockumentary bootleg from Amazon called "A Day With Spongebob Squarepants" (which was pretty recent)
