Marching Band People

Us, having done Zumba and fundamentals on the track, waiting for the football team to get off the field so we can work on pregame
Their coach makes them run to a yardline, fall, get back up and do that all the way to the fifty
Someone: whoever says the marching band works harder than the football team is insane

Our parents are the only people other than the student section that actually go to games. And there are some where it's literally just us

Our first football game is today and no of course I'm not listening to our show why would I do that don't be silly

Eighth grade band night is tomorrow so we're meeting them today and practicing and I'm gonna be section leader next year so I'm supposed to lead it and I don't remember what we're supposed to do with them

HECK! I forgot that this year they're doing pregame with us. Oh boy this'll be interesting

I have pre-mpa's this Saturday save me

shit do you guys do like, your field show with them? that’s all my school does with the eighth graders.

I'm not entirely sure how it's going to work. Usually, we go on the field at halftime and they come out with us and we play some songs and then we do our show post-game without them. But it sounds like they're actually marching pregame (which is what we call our thing with the fight song and alma mater and the national anthem. I don't know if that's what other people call it) with us this year instead. So I have no clue what's happening and I don't think anyone else does either lol

Okay, I think I figured it out, and I made a list of stuff we need to do. I just hope I'm not missing anything

YA'LL MY BAND MESSED UP YESTERDAY AT REHEARSAL, THEY PISSED OFF OUR BAND TEACHER

We pissed off our (usually door-mat-esque) band director so much the other day that he just left. It was hilarious. And it was really cold yesterday and all the freshmen were super under prepared and I'm excited for it to be cold again today
Our section leaders ended up taking over at eighth grade band night. And once a sophomore did. What the fuck

What did you guys do?

It was our final rehearsal so some people weren't trying and some of us were and it was making him so mad because people couldn't stop talking and then they wouldn't step off in time. Even though we went over our talking time he said with the most calm yet angry voice "Take a long water break and then we'll do final run throughs(He paused for a sec here)I don't want to rehearse with people who don't care." and it stung to hear those words but it also hurt to see him like that.

He talked to us…and he talked to us as if nothing happened. I think a robot was sent by the bourgeoisie to re place him

Ah yay practice in the rain. And then a competition in the rain. I bet we're staying inside for practice. Fingers crossed

Ah. Our last football game before playoffs is this Friday and on Sunday we go to state
