I love that movie so much! The book is just as good
I liked Rocket Man.
Recently I watched The Iron Giant and I cried. Again. Predictable.
I would have liked it better if it didn’t do the “GUNS ARE BAD” preaching.
But it was still a pretty good movie.

The movie wasn't attempting to preach the idea that guns are bad. It was simply making a comparison between the iron giant and the gun since both are designed as weapons. The entire moral of the story is that the Iron Giant feels emotions and cares, unlike a gun. There's also the whole "there is nothing to fear but fear itself" message because, you know, it took place during the cold war and everyone thought America would get nuked.
Though I can understand why people would think that it the movie was preaching a guns are bad type message.

I disagree. “Guns kill”.
I support gun rights. But because I know that anything can be a weapon, it’s the person behind the trigger that counts. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.
Not meaning to rant/preach, I just want to say why pro gun views are reasonable.

Julie & Julia is so good, yet I still haven't seen it all in one sitting. I've watched it all in separate pieces but even when I make an effort to sit down and watch it, I am called away to do something else! Still an amazing movie regardless though.
