I am not an otaku myself, (Although I do like Vocaloid and Little Witch Academia, and I did try learning Japanese at one point) but I've always wanted to say this to a group of otakus just to see their reactions: I LISTEN TO ANIME SOUNDTRACKS WITHOUT ACTUALLY WATCHING THE ANIMES. (In fact, I still have no idea what animes half the songs are from.) That was all.

Durarara and hetalia
I just started watching Bungo Stray Dogs and it's pretty good, so I do recommend it.
Also, Banana Fish is nice if you're into gay shipping, just don't watch the ending of the final episode if you get really invested.
Gunslinger Girls is cool too, but there's a lot of tragedy in it…
