PERIOD'S FREAKING SUCK MATE!
Getting first periods late in life runs in the family so I'm due for only my 3rd one ever and I'm just dreading it cause BLEH THEY'RE SO ANNOYINGLike honestly I don't think men truly understand. IT IS SO MUCH BLOOD. When I got my first period if I hadn't know what was going on I probably would have called an ambulance because I thought I was going to die from bleeding out.
Oof I lost count with how many I've had but they started in late 4th grade I believe for me

mine always starts really heavy so my mom gave me pantiliners to start using when I had my first and all the sudden it was just more than it could take and I only had like one left XD

We are reading this book in English and it's called Lucky Child (Great book would recommend) but in the most recent chapter the main character (A 13-year-old immigrant from Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge genocide) got her first period and since she didn't know what it was she thought she was dying and started having flashbacks to the war but then she remembered what she 'learned in American school' and was like oh phew. Aside from the PTSD that was like MMM relatable

I find heating pads helpful as well as the mint essential oil I mentioned. Lavender is also a good scent for stress relief but not for pain relief.
I'm taking child development so I get why it has to happen, but it just really sucks that cramps and mood swings come with it

From what I know, chocolate, electric heating pads, and hugs. They go along way.
Yeah, but also giving us women/people who identify as other genders or no genders but are afflicted with such pain the space we need is helpful too. Remember that always, as it applies to most areas of life for people. If the person needs alone time, let them have it, all I'm saying.

Aw, you sound like a good bf. If she has a dog or cat, they also work as snuggle heating pads. Buuuut you could always get her a puppy or cat wink Make sure you only get the type of chocolate she likes, I know it may sound odd, but my brother tried to give me chocolate while I was on my period because he is a good boy, but it was the salted caramel chocolate and I hate that and I seriously yelled at5 him. So, be careful.
