ill start us off with a quick poem I wrote ast week..

You were like a star to me
beautiful from a distance.
But I never got close enough
for I had a fear of being burned

The light you emitted shown down on me
during my darkest nights
you were the one I needed then
but now its time to let you go

(Here’s one I pretty proud of)

I Promise

And for long as I am still alive, I’ll hold you in my embrace
Only death will part us in the dark, I swear the pain I’ll make it okay
For as long as you are still with me through all these stressful days
The hurt will cease, if you just believe that we can make it today

And if I will die today then you shall live on and smile always
No need to cry, keep those tears aside, your future is brighter than everyday
And I promise dear I’ll look at you from the far and destined sky
I love you my life, you are my sunshine, so for now just walk on and smile

That's really awesome, you should be proud! i really didnt think anyone would reply tbh! you have a gift i can tell because poetry makes you feel something and this hit very close to home!

OH MY GOD THIS IS MEEEE

This is a poem I wrote a couple years ago. It doesn't flow and it's short…it really sucks, but I guess it kinda means something to me…that's why I like it.

The Game of Life
Life and I are playing a game,
It had to do with my soul and their claim,
They tried to hide that they suddenly cheated,
I started an argument, it became heated.
They refused they ever did such a thing,
I showed them proof, they confessed with a grin.
Their eyes filled with a wicked hellfire flame,
And tells me bluntly, “I never play by the rules of the game.”

Lol

there was this book i used to love when i was just starting middle school, and this is a quote from it that i still haven't gotten out of my head:

Here’s a thing:

Why do I still come back?
Why do I let you get into my head?
And still I can’t tell
Whether I’m just being paranoid
Or you’re using me like you used others

Is it all in my head?

That it wasn’t your fault
But people talk
And I let myself believe them

As I wait for a reply
I don’t know whether I want one or not
And my feelings still aren’t sorted out
But I can’t tell anyone
Because they wouldn’t understand

And I still can’t decide whether I want to run
Or not
Is it all my fault?
There’s no way to know
So the question remains:
Let you in and risk it happening again
Or shut you out and wonder “what if”?
Why do I still care?

then I get torn when they have to leave
its a cycle of heartbreak I go through
and the only thing that changes is the people
the only way I can find peace is to look back
the memories keep from feeling dead
and reminded me of when I felt alive
