In what situation would you use a prologue or what situation would you specifically avoid using one.
Prologues.

Whale, I tend to avoid using one unless trying to give info about what could not be explained in the story but was important.
I use a prologue as a nice big chunk of foreshadowing.
I use a prologue for all of the above reasons, and I avoid using one if I know that I have an epilogue planned.
Okay so the general rule is no prologues unless ABSOLUTELY necessary
I don't do prologues, but maybe a lil introduction… Like…. You're about to be thrown into the story. Have fun. Bye. Don't die.
