I grew up on MLP FIM. I was so sad to see season 9 was the last. But all good things have to come to an end. I still have all the ponies I bought in my basement 😅. I’m giving the new gen a chance, especially with the fact it’s supposed to take place thousands of years after MLP FIM

What did dreamworks do with HTTYD?
This is kind of my own opinion. The movies were kids' movies but could appeal to any demographic with their strong emotions and connections. Just like MLP FIM. Then they made much watered-down kid spin-offs just for money. I know they’re supposed to be for younger children, but they took away the emotional appeal of the films and race to the edge. They also got really lazy with the animations and stories. Again, this is my opinion-ish and I don’t mean to offend anyone

That often happens with something that becomes somewhat popular. The companies go "we possibly have another cash cow on our hands here, let's make some shows!"
It makes me sad to see that happen to lovable franchises, but what can one do

I loved it as well. It gave me something to feed the hunger for more out of HTTYD. Toothless will always be my favorite fictional dragon

Yes. It’s called Dragons The Nine Realms or something like that. It’s placed 1,300 years after the last HTTYD movie. So Hiccup and Astrid are canonically dead for like a good bit.

I mean I’ve never struggled with it, but everyone has those days where you’re like nah fam this ain’t working time for sweatpants and a hoodie. And the equivalent, for me at least, being a straight woman is basically thinking from the perspective of a guy if that makes sense? Like dang son I look good today Imma make men weak in the knees type stuff. Or that’s at least how I tackle the day. I wake up and smile at the world, thank God for another day, and then sit up, and say: “There’s more chaos in the world with me in it, and kneecaps can always be taken.” And then jump up with pep in my step ready to make the world tremble at my footfalls. And then I have coffee. 🙃
