HEY HONEY
I LOVE YOU
so we're gonna do a few things to help you out
first of all- change your username
you are not broken, at least not permanently. so don't label yourself as broken. don't stick yourself inside a box. they can be hard to climb out of.
you are wonderful, and I know you are a woman of faith. So rely on God. He will heal you.
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Second, listen to your gospel/christian music. It will help, I swear. And listen to other songs that make you happy. Drown out the negative thoughts with positive music. Sing along. Don't let the bad thoughts take up any real estate. They don't deserve it.
You are going to be okay, okay? I love you a lot, everyone on here loves you a lot. Storms never stick around forever. Cry it out, ride it out. You'll be okay and pretty soon a rainbow will be shining down. : D
Okay, this one is really short, but here goes!
Change the Past
I was cold and unfeeling until I met him. I was a freak.
And now, I may never grow old with him. I may never see him again.
I was shy and afraid to do anything out of my comfort zone, until I met her. I was a useless idiot.
And now, she's dying from a gunshot wound. Dying in my arms.
If only I could change the past.
Wow…
That was sad but really good.
Wow. Oof. I love it.
Flash fiction like that is so cool
I wish I was good at it lol
Wow…
That was sad but really good.
Bit of a prologue to a novel I'm writing, actually.

(So, I started this for fun, and I ended up liking it enough that I actually decided to turn it into a prologue for a story I have an idea for.)
| Skye and Asher |
| (Very creatively titled, I know…) |
The darkness was overwhelming. It was all around her; covering her eyes, clogging her nose, choking her as she breathed in, crawling in her throat. She didn't know how much longer she could take it.
Then, suddenly, it was over. It stopped just as quickly as it had started.
"Skye! Skye, wake up! It's okay. You're home," a deep, masculine voice speaking low roused her from her nightmare, and she wrenched open her eyes, peering at the face before her.
"Asher? What… ugh… what happened?" she asked, her soft voice weak from sleep and fright.
Her husband clenched his eyes shut as he pulled her close, embracing her tightly. "Oh, thank goodness. You're finally awake!"
"Asher, what happened?" Skye repeated, sounding more awake, as she rubbed the sleep from her face.
"You were dreaming. It was that nightmare again, wasn't it?" Asher questioned, his gentle voice rustling her shoulder-length, strawberry-blond hair. "It's all over now. Just remember that. We don't have to worry about it. That monster that you fought, it's gone. Dead. We destroyed it together, remember? Don't worry, okay?"
Skye let out a shuddering breath and pulled back a bit, looking at his worry-filled face. She knew that. She had known that every time she had woken up like this for the past six months. But, still, it was hard… The monster filled her dreams, nearly every night, turning them into dreaded, terrifying nightmares that made her either wake up screaming or have Asher wake her up.
"I know… It's just-" she stopped, a sigh escaping from between her lips. Her haunted, violet eyes screwed shut tight, and she rubbed her pale face again, trying to forget about it. "It's hard for me. I- That monster… It ate me alive. I mean… its powers did. I was thrown into a darkness so deep that I still feel like I'm in it some days."
Skye looked up at her husband, who grasped her soft hands between his own calloused ones and squeezed them. Shadows under his striking, silver eyes showed how hard he worked for her, how much he loved her and cared for her. She didn't want that to go to waste, but she didn't know how much longer she could go on this way; feeling like she was drowning every time she closed her eyes; suffocating every time she drifted off.
I REMEMBER THAT ONE!
XD All of the ones that I'll post are already on Wattpad, so I'd be surprised if you didn't recognize them! Lol.
I have another story. The concept is a bit absurd, but I hope I could post it here?
Go for it
Well, it is your chat, so you can post whatever you want.
He remained mute. Watching the doctors and nurses move past in a steady hum of activity. He noted empty hospital beds by the walls and patients pushing IV stands, their skin seeming to soak in the ugly yellow, gray glow of the fluorescent lights overhead only to reflect it back out in an equally dull glow. He tried to remember the last time he'd walked hospital halls like this one. How he'd felt, what he'd seen and heard and smelled and said. All that came to mind was the hum of an electric razor filling his ears and the feeling of paint chipping beneath his fingers as he sat at the hospital bedside in a folding chair staring absently at the man who rested there. He told himself nothing had changed and that the man that lay there was the same, that this shell of a person was still the man he loved as if he wasn't gone months ago.
He closed his eyes, bit his lip, and finally, he slid his hand into the man's limp one. He spoke through gritted teeth, "You have to wake up, all right? I– you're– you…I have stuff I want to tell you, okay? Stuff that, I think you'd be proud of me, but I can't tell you if you don't wake up." He hesitated, was he really going to talk to someone who probably couldn't hear him? "People… people don't like me…" He shifted in his chair and stared hard at the edge of the bed where the mattress met the metal frame, "Look when you met me, I'm not even sure if you liked me… b-but you stuck around anyway and…. I-I" tears streamed down his face, he couldn't finish his 'I love you' without breaking down. How did this happen? How did their simple love become so plagued with troubles?
(This is actually a story but if you only put part of it in does it count as a 'short story'? Lol)
heck yeah it counts

Our body shouted at us to breathe. The pain was terrible, we couldn't help but gasp for air. Having a real, proper body was new to us. Now to pick a term of reference, a name if you will. Myriad, as there is strength in numbers. But other humans would question it. Myria would be much better for us. Lady Myria, as our body was apparently that of a female's and thus we must choose a feminine name. We stepped into the sunlight, blinking. We saw the colors. Who knew that blue could be so blue! We paused for a moment, in awe of it all. But our purpose was to know what being human was like, so we needed to get on with it. We felt a tightness in our abdomen, pain. Hunger. We needed food. We stumbled through the streets, trying to find something to eat. We found a shop, it smelled so wonderful. My-Our, I mean, mouth watered. We requested some dry toast to start, as it was simple and would probably be easy to handle. A human brought us our food on an ornate platter. We bit into the toast. The world exploded and came together simultaneously before our eyes. There was nothing but taste. The texture of the breadcrumbs was astonishing. We leapt up in horror and ran out. We sat in a park. The song of the birds was so happy yet so sad. A man sat next to me-us, and took out a stack of papers between binding. A book. We asked him what the point of the book was. He responded "To read. Stories tell us more about the world than living in it ever could." he smiled. They feeling of heat rose to my-our cheeks. "Can you read to us?" we asked. He looked taken aback, but complied. Heat rose to his cheeks as well. He read a story about kings and queens and love and trial and heartbreak. I-We cried, with no way to stop. Who knew emotions could trigger so easily. I asked his name. "Jeremy James. And you?" he asked.
"Lady Myria." I-We, smiled. Smiling felt good. He offered to take us to dinner later that night, and we complied. He said to meet him at this very bench. We sat there and waited for him all afternoon, until finally he came. He kissed our hand and we walked through the city, all aglow. The lights flashed, they sparkled in splendor. It was wonderful. We ate dinner, and he took us to see the stars. We looked up at the sky. He talked about the loss he had faced in his life, the sorrow. We felt compelled to hug him, and did just that. Our eyes met. Our gazes remained locked, our eyes so sad yet so happy. Without warning, our lips crashed together. I would always remember that night.
I would.
Ten years later
My child, whose Jeremy and I had christened Ella, was now 9. I picked her up in my arms, hugging her tightly. I told her I would never leave her, that I would love her forever. Jeremy walked up to us and have me a kiss on the cheek, and swing Ella around. We played for an evening, and then went to bed with the hopes of good dreams. This was life at it's best. And then We woke up. It was a dream. Jeremy wasn't real, Ella was a fiction. So that was being human, eh? All pain, knowing you were going to die one day. Some day. But it was worth it.
The kiss never faded. It always lingered, reminding us of the pain and the sorrow and joy and hope and love. And it reminded us of life.
(It's terrible, but I tried.)
:OOO
I loved it! :OO
long, low whistle
Dang, that was intense…
It's the perspective of an omnipresent being inside a human body if that makes any sense.
It does.
You people need to chill with your writing skills you're waaaayyy too good ;D
Lol. Well, thanks, Sly.
