So, I have a character who has a really big facade going on. In order to gain the trust of Ember, he uses a fake name. I'm debating if I should use a meaning for fire, to get Ember to trust him, or ice to give a hint on who he really is.
Help meeeeeee!!!!! So far Ember has two cats named Ashes and Flare. I don't want to go too overboard on the whole "Fire thing" but then again I don't know if ice is a good idea either.
Ugh!

As long as you're not overly up front about the name, it's not really a big deal. Look for names that mean fire or ice, not that sound like fire or ice. From there, I just suggest picking the name that sounds best to you.

Blaise is a fiery name, but it might me too obvious.
Mishal: Arabic name meaning “torch”
Aaden: Means fire/flames
Heti: Flame; Light; Fire
Icy names: Aspen (silvery tree), Jack (Jack Frost), Nicholas (St. Nicholas), Douglas (Douglas fir), and Whittaker (means white field).

That's what i was going for, something with the meaning. I just don't know which element i should use.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe ice? Names make for good foreshadowing.
