When people say "he or she" when talking about something where the gender is fluid. (ex: "…and when he or she comes up here to read the passage, we will…") Just say "they". It's so much easier and doesn't add unnecessary gender or ignore other genders.

Yes.

Especially when they're like "he or she will grab his or her backpack and give it to his or her parents" like please just use "they"

My dad's homophobia. We try to watch a simple movie together and the one gay character comes in and you can audibly hear him sigh with disbelief. Cause apparently by accepting LGBTQ+ and adding those characters into movies and books is "forcing" everyone to be gay. It drives me insane. Can't wait for him to find out me and my sister are both bi lmao

@croccin-champagne

but if a single gay character in a movie is propaganda then i, a queer, should riot over the sheer amount of forced straight romance to exist

All I want is a cute LGBTQIAP+ romcom that is actually quality

Is that too much to ask?

@moss

Eva you've started a notebook cult around a fucking comic by recommending it to like three people who get easily obsessed with things and feel the need to tell everyone else about it at every opportunity and I'm here for it
But yes Salami is correct, Heartstopper is rad you should read it

Bows Simpy doing my duty to one of my favorite authors <3
As far as cute wholesome LGBTQIAP+ stories go, I'd recommend:

  • Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker: f/nb romance between a witch and her childhood best friend, who's a werewolf
  • I'll Be The One by Lyla Lee: f/m romance between two bisexual people; one is a plus-sized Korean-American girl in a competition to become the next big K-Pop star and the other is a Korean celebrity/model who's also in the competition
  • When We Were Magic by Sarah Gailey: f/f romance, centers on a group of teenage girls with magic after one of them accidentally kills someone
  • You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson: f/f romance, centers on Liz Lightly, a bisexual black girl who's trying to win as prom queen in her very straight and white town

When you're in a public area, say a store or something. You walk by someone and all you can smell is the scent of marijuana, like ridiculously powerful smelling, wafting off of them…. Yeah, I hate that.

Pretty Little Liars. And myself for deciding to reread the gay book to see how poorly it was handled.

When people refuse to get their child(ren) vaccinated because it's going to "GiVe ThEm AuTiSm" or put chemicals into their body
1) it doesn't put chemicals into your body, but rather it puts a small amount of the virus into you so your immune system can learn to fight it (I mean I think that's how it works??? idk tho)
2) it won't give your child autism, chill out
3) so are we just going to ignore the fact that it's less about keeping their child safe and more about a fear/repulse/hatred of autism??? like??? I've always wondered about this and why no one's addressed this but it's literally them just being bastards.

group

Some of the most amazing people that I know (myself included) have Autism.

When people think that my sensory disorder is just me "not liking loud sounds/being picky/Being a prude"
I hate that, because it's like an actual thing that's detrimental to the way I live
Like, I haven't stepped foot in the cafeteria because I can't handle any sort of noise above a loud sspeaking tone
