Does your story have vampires? If so, I'd like to hear about them! Please do tell me!
Vampires?
A bit…
They work hand in hand with my BloodMages
Explain!
So, I have a species called BloodMages who use blood-type magic. The head/ queen of the BloodMages is in a relationship with the queen of vampires and are used as my main villains before they are reformed.
Awesome!
Yup~
How do they work?
The bloodMages or the Vamps?
The vampires… Or both… Whichever you like…
My vamps are pretty basic…
I can give you more info on my BloodMages in a bit!
OK! Will do!
Blood magic is a form of tortured life magic that uses blood as a power source. Someone who practices blood magic is often called a blood mage (or bloodmage), or blood wizard. BloodMages can control someones body by using their own blood.
Oh! That's awesome!
Yes~ They are some of my favorite things to write~
Awesome! They do sound very fun! I have a bunch of branches of sorcerers if you'd like me to explain them to you!
That would be cool!
Hold on… I will!
Well… It goes like this…
Shamans are sorcerers who use the magics of nature, they can control the four elements, generate forcefields, and cure the ails of others, as well as astral project…
Abrahamics are those that use magic from Heaven and Hell, summoning a heavenly or hellish familiar, or performing curses and miracles.
Warlocks/Witches are those with power over strange phenomenon, they can control electricity, and blood, and make pacts that warp reality.
Cool stuff Shuri!
Thanks!
How about you? You got this kind of stuff?
Well, let's see… I have elementalists, gods, emotional energy users, along with some general magic not counting my newest budding project. Do you wish to hear?
Oh wait a minute. We talked about it earlier.
Yes! I have a lot of those things to! Why don't we share back and forth!
Oh… OK! That's right!
All right. I'll you all the info I have available.
Protagonist: Daniella Jacobs. Raised in a mortal life. Had many suspicious events happen to her until she is recruited by a group of people who each have a power. Her power is instinctive magic.
The group is dedicated to fighting monsters. Among those are:
Shades. Humanoid, lack eyes, can smell blood up to a mile away, are very strong and will not give up until their sensing abilities are disabled e.g. head ripped off.
Chroabi. It has four tentacle like arms. (four elbows to an arm). Each is equipped with three cat claws at the end which can retract to make a pad to walk on. The tentacles merge onto a slightly humanoid body, but with gray skin and a spine curved so much the thing would have been at least two feet taller if it had been straight. Its head is a mass of flesh, with hundreds of long thin teeth like needles protruding outward, and pure black lidless eyes.
The Fey. Gray-black skin, bright purple eyes, metamorphagi, large pointed ears, can change size at will. Deadly. Huge bows with magical arrows. Also known as Fae or elves. Eat humans. Like to change hair to vibrant colors and to dip their arrows in magic. Are extremely clever and cruel.
My characters:
Sam(antha). Best friend to Daniella among the Distincts.
——-. Second best friend. Funny, loud. Is a love interest to Daniella but he isn't interested. Power: Hypnotizer.
Theresa. Known as Rune. Power: Runemaker. (Can write in runes to perform magic.)
Silas. Her teacher. He is a sociopath who at one point injects her with a fight or flight serum to make her more open to her power. (He is correct. It works.) He is motivated by curiosity. He is very intelligent with a nonexistant moral compass.
Alene. Power: Possessor. She is the reason the guy turned Daniella down. They work closely together as their powers (Hypnotizer and Possessor) are very similar. To possess she allows her soul to drift from her body (leaving her body limp) and forcefully breaks into another body.
Awesome!
Thanks! I started it on Monday.
Nice! Seems awesome!
What’s the lore on your vampires? Can they be killed like regular vampires, do they turn into bats, are they easily identified?
In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, they get killed by sunlight, beheading and wooden stakes (also being blown up but we won’t get into that), aka normal vampire stuff. They also have to be invited in to your house and their faces change from normal (with the exception of the Master) to “vampire mode and can regain their soul from doing trials.
In Supernatural, they have one face aka the human one, they can only be killed by beheading and sunlight just stings them. They also have a whole mouth of sharp teeth as opposed to two fangs and can be cured by consuming the blood of the vampire that turned them.
Vampires in BTVS disintegrate/get dusted, meanwhile they retain their form in Spn.
