My sibling says they're dead inside at least three times a day. It's an ongoing joke that they have no soul, I don't know why it started though. I'll say something like, "Do you need a black or blue pen?" and they'll be super cheerful like, "Black, just like my soul."
Yeah me and my friend went to a hockey game yesterday and they were like "Do you want the pink or the black cow bell?" and I was like "Black, like my soul."

Another joking conversation between my sibling and I:
Me-"I gotta go, I actually have a life."
Sibling-"What are you talking about? You can't afford a life."
Me-"I can afford more than you."
Sibling-"Then how much are you paying your friends?"
This was a joke about how I'm the one that saves my money while they're being social and buying a bunch of candy they don't need. I'm the introvert, they're extrovert, I rarely buy things, they spend money the moment they have it. So this is our humor.
There's some sheet of paper I saw once at school taped to a wall and it said 'take what you need' on it and below it had little slips you could tear off that said like 'happiness' 'love' and stuff like that on it and I walked up to it and said really loudly "Does it have a life? I need one of those."

Indeed. I can confirm this. If you were to go through his life from start to finish he'd seem more like a fallen hero. His entire motivation in my plot is him thinking he can do what others didn't, that he's willing to do things when others stand back, and that he can fix some mistakes he made.
