But not only this… You guys realize, that it does work, it has worked, I'd like to say, that they'd be risking their lives going to their jobs without weapons. I know people personally, who have had to pull weapons out on other people. The only way to even this thing out, is to give those of us who are good people, guns, or something else. Not doing so, is encouraging criminals to just do whatever the hell they want because we can't fight back. I know people who used to be criminals, I know how they think because they have told me how they used to think. One of my friends' family members said his conversations used to go like this.
"Aye nigga let's go set this lic hip here!"
"That's wassup, aye, erhat they got, alarms, they strapped?"
"Nah bruh, I had beef with bruh once, he ain't got shit!"
"Aight!"
And the truth was, he didn't even know if the guy had guns or not, but he SEEMED like the type to not have guns. If they think theory have an advantage over you, they will take it. The same thing goes with school-shooters, the same thing goes with terrorists. It's not about having guns and having to use them, it's about having them so you don't HAVE to use them. And if you think that they won't care if you have a gun… Think about this.

People won't break into your house if you have a discouraging sign, even if it's a fake out, even closed windows or lights turned on will discourage someone. If yuou have a shotgun in the window, even a broken one, nobody is coming in. I know from experience!

And that up there is how I talk too honestly, I just type according to my thought process, which is much more complex than my linguistics process.

Okay…wow. First of all, that was racial stereotyping at its finest. Are you black? Because otherwise you…can't…say…nigga. Why did he "seem like the type" to have a gun? Black dudes aren't the ones shooting up schools/churches, it's white extremists who get guns LEGALLLY. It's like you're missing that. It isn't "bad guy gets a gun but lucky for us all good guys have guns so we're saved" it's more like "quiet dude who everyone thought was lowkey weird is obsessed with guns and ends up shooting up an elementary school." A good guy with a gun didn't help in Vegas, again. It didn't help and hasn't helped. Those mass shooters don't care about their own lives. If they think someone's got a concealed gun at a school, he's gonna shoot up the school anyway because he's evil and doesn't care. A good guy with a gun is just a guy with a gun when it comes down to it. More guns = more shootings = more innocents caught in the crosshairs. Don't try it with the "guns dissuade" argument because it doesn't work.

You know, I could give a long-winded response on how tightening gun control WON'T help, but I'm too depressed to really try. So have fun being defenseless.

Look at Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, etc. Gun control, and guess what???? No mass shootings! (It might have been no school shootings, gotta check the statistic again) It's like…almost like…idk…guns cause mass shootings or something. Maybe.

@writelikeyourerunningoutoftime if you must know, I'm primarily Hispanic and white with some Native American heritage, in that order from most to least thank you very much. My grandmother grew up in Puerto Rico and is of that descent, my father is mostly Hispanic, and my mother is mostly white with some Native American. And as for my friend's cousin, his name is Hakim, and he was giving me advice because I was always a rebellious little bastard and because I was beefing. He told me not to do it, and he gave me a story, that is what those quotes are from. And in that town there in California, most of us talk like that, on the streets, at school, occasionally at work (although I've only seen that on Snap) even some of the fully white people. Nobody gives a fuck, man. I even talk like that, and I'm not even living over there anymore. The only reason I don't type like that, is because I type how I think, not how I talk, but if you've seen enough of my posts, you'll see that I let it slip every once and a while, even @Masterkey has seen it.

"Even though it has half the population of the other 22 nations combined, the United States accounted for 82 percent of all gun deaths. The United States also accounted for 90 percent of all women killed by guns, the study found. Ninety-one percent of children under 14 who died by gun violence were in the United States. And 92 percent of young people between ages 15 and 24 killed by guns were in the United States, the study found." From PBS.

(The 22 nations are comparable to the US, like the UK or Australia or the other countries I listed above.)

Also. I'd like to add that you're right, it's not the bad guys" who get the guns, it's the quiet dude. But you have to keep in mind, guns do dissuade. And I agree, we can't have innocents in the line of fire.

88 out of 100 people in the US own guns. And yet…we still have more gun violence than comparable nations. So, more guns won't fix the problem. You're wrong on so, so many levels. I guess I'm done talking to you because if you're down with using racial slurs, idk what else you'll do. See ya.

And another thing. I think you're taking my statement out of context. Because of how I think? No. I think like how I'm typing right here, but I sure as hell don't talk like this.

And yet another thing… You think I decided to share my story about Hakim because I wanted to pull some kind of racial slur? Really? I chose to share this very personal story, to provide an example, and because it's one of my fondest memories. That is a man who learned right from wrong the hard way, and decided to share with me how he did so, so that I didn't go down the same path he did, and honestly without that, I probably would've. Sure, my language was harsh, but I've provided quotes from that exact situation in public, you know all that "when was a time you yada yada yada" crap that they make you do in class, for those type of things, and nobody has shown offense. I mean, yeah again, my language, but that's not the point, even though I'll admit that I made a mistake.

Also, I remember reading somewhere back in school, you know that 60% of Americans were against guns, and as I'm sure you also know, most schools only use credible sources.
