What Do You Write About/Enjoy Reading?

I thought that it would be nice to see the wide variety of what we all write about, so feel free to share what you like to write (or even read) about here.

I write Supernatural fanfic, stories that involve the paranormal/supernatural (ghosts, demons, werewolves, etc.), and superheroes/supervillians. I'm changing things up quite a lot by co-writing a fantasy story with a friend of mine.
As for reading, I enjoy horror, fantasy, and scif; essentially multiple genres. One of my favorite authors (even though I recently started to read his books) is Stephen King.

Anything badass will do just fine. I'm a huge fan of multgenre, sci-fi/fantasy, drama/surreal, action/horror, dystopia/adventure, all that. I'm a huge fan of manga.

Sounds like you'd enjoy reading some of the things that I've been working on…. Sadly I've never actually finished anything…. Yet!

I tend to read a lot of fantasies and sci-fis. Anything with a lot of action and good plot twists. I do read realistic fiction on occasion, but it's not typically stuff that I write.
As far as writing goes, I like writing fantasies the most because of the creative freedom. I am "writing" one thing that's probably classified more as a sci-fi. I'm having fun with it, but it's definitely been more challenging than my fantasy stuff since I can't just make up stuff when I don't really know what I'm talking about (This is mostly in terms of legal stuff and medical/sciencey stuff. Writing this story has made me painfully aware that I don't know very much about either of these topics).

Sadly I've never actually finished anything…. Yet!

Same D: I've restarted the sci-fi thing that I mentioned liked 4 times now! Maybe one day though!

Here's the premiere to one of my sci-fi's.

So I have this idea…

An agency that isn't supposed to officially exist, is taking gametes (officially from ideal donators who have no idea where they're going), genetically modifying them, and putting them into artificial wombs to be birthed in a record 7 months. These genetically modified specimens are raised in captivity, basically kept in a luxurious but imprisoning and offputting underground facility where they are fed hypernutritious slop, kept under strict rules and schedules, and taught by private teachers who are meant to skew their views and values to match the agency's (because while you can try, it's impossible to genetically modify beliefs), and if this isn't enough, they are put under further experimentation which definitely results in trauma, and sometimes in death or injury, and some are abused by their "Care Officers". Any rehabilitating injury they get qualifies them for "Release", or as honest people put it, euthanasia, or death. (None of the kids know what release means, until one of them finds out.) The agency's aspirations it create supersoldiers, is what leads these supersoldiers to escape. (I won't tell you exactly how, but one of them manages to weaken the cell door holding a berserk experiment, and they run off in the ensuing chaos.) The next book has them on the run from the agency, exploring the world that they know nothing about, and adjusting to it. Running, hiding, scuffling with the agency's resources, surviving, all that good stuff. The next one has the was between the sides. The agency and it's benefactors, versus the escapees, and their new allies. The government has the CIA and FBI play double agents, but I mean, it's not like the escapees are in a hurry to trust any more government agencies. I won't tell you what happens next, though. The last book (I have to be vague) ends on a bittersweet and vaguely dystopian note, with a whole new world order type thing going on…

Anyway, how is it, what do you think? Do you want me to explain some of the science?

Sounds intriguing and like something that I'd possibly read! The 'release' aspect reminds me of The Giver.

Oohhhhhhh, I love Stephen King, and horror/thriller is kinda my favorite genre. I don’t usually read a lot of romance, but I do like a good fantasy story. Also, what kinda fics do you write? Is it more ships, or self inserts? Or just things you want to happen?

I've created a few ocs. They're mainly ideas of things that I think could (and would) be intriguing to see happen on the show.

I have one in the works that has the Winchesters and one of my ocs going up against a demon that's trying to summon my version of a Prince of Hell.

There's an incomplete (sadly staying that way) fic on wattpad called Supernatural: Under the Moon, and 3 rps that are continuations of each other.

Isn't that the book with all the colorblind people.

They aren't really color blind. Their government (somehow) removed the 'memory' of color…. Basically though, yes. Lol
