What is your stance on same-sex marriage?

But the thing is, if we''re going by the bible. The only thing that goes against same-sex relationships was actually mis-translated, it was "Man shall not lay with boy" not "Man shall not lay with man."

Is this quote you're quoting from the book of Leviticus?

I'm not actually sure what the exact words are or what book it is from, as I have not opened by bible in a while.

Ok I see, this quote looks a lot like the one I know of, its actually really harsh so I don't know if I should post it.

Don't go there. Just don't. At least without permission. Or else I will start attacking it and there will be this lovely debate taking over the thread.

(Note: My older brother built his own freaking computer out of 75% spare parts and it's the fastest running computer in the house. He's a genius)

He's smarter than me.

He's a damn smart guy, Dom.

You're awesome Dom-kun!

Aw thanks Shuri!

Honestly Dom, you have the best debate skills I've ever seen, besides Eris of course. (I would love to engage but I'm afraid it's too early in the morning for my brain to be a proper debate partner for you. Unfortunately, I'll have to decline this time.)

She and I actually have a pm thread dedicated to debate.

I am asking for permission….. But… If you know what the quote is then why do you support same sex marriage?? I'm just asking. (really, can we not start a fight, I don't what to fight, really, I had enough of fighting for a week)

Of course, as that is the only thing I have on the bible subject, I will not say anything else.

You want to read the full quote? (Without fighting, maybe never say anything about it after that post??)

I would love too, if it would bother this thread could you pm it to me?

@actual-fandom-trash

Personally, I support it because it's a right everyone deserves. I understand that some religions are against it but that doesn't mean it should be illegal. It's a right that anyone deserves to have since all we want is to be accepted. I'm not saying everyone needs to support it, but they should respect it and just mind their own business. If one doesn't like it, don't say anything. They're just being human.

@TheGoldenLegend

But I find it odd that we, humans, and the smartest creatures on the plant but we're the only one that goes after people of the same sex, we're literally going against the law of nature.

Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them."

Its really dark, like I said.
And this is not me saying it, this is the Bible.

Animals do it too.

Look up 'are giraffes gay?'

Or penguins.

Ah, but a lot of animals already has homosexual tendencies.

Actually no. Many many animals display homosexual behaviours. (No hate just pointing it out)

Well animals do it too. But only when something is wrong in the pack I've heard. But my cats used to do it all the time. Weird.

They might, like caring for a brother, sister, or pack mate but they don't strive to find animals of the same sex. Its Love against "Luv"

No. 94% of giraffe sex is gay. They actively look. And don't even get me started on penguins.

So we're like giraffes or penguins? That doesn't sound right.

My cats try to do it with random hair ties, fidget spinners, socks and other dumb objects thrown on the floor so that's actually pretty normal

No. We aren't. But you said it was against nature. So I enlightened you.

I support it because what is so wrong with same sex marriage. It's your life so what is so wrong with it, it is kind of stupid how offended people get sometimes.

@RedTheLoveless

Well guys I just realized there's a third side to this debate.
Nihilism. Specifically the nihilistic point of view.

Wouldn't all "love" be considered "luv"? The way you feel towards another person is just a simple chemical reaction in your brain telling to feel that way.
What is the point of frivolous things like "love" and marriage if we are all to die anyway?

(Side Note: I'm just putting this point of view here. I don't actually agree with it but I realized it had yet to be included. I'll go back to spectating now.)

If you’re in the US, an inalienable right is the Pursuit of Happiness, love could equal happiness. Pedophilia is not okay because if the person is under legal age they can’t “consent” to anything.

That is a widely misunderstood phrase. Back in the day, it meant the right to own property.

Homosexual behavior is the norm for Japanese macaques as well.
(The only reason I know these things is because my best friend and I were arguing about mascots for the LGBT community.
