What tattoos would you have if you could get a tattoo/get another tattoo? Also, tattoo advice.

I was planning on getting a tattoo this summer but I forgot how early my college classes started lol sooo I guess maybe this fall?

• I know for sure that I want to get the autism infinity sign on the inside of my left wrist. Unsure if I'll get it in black and white or with all of the colors–the colors would be cool but they fade and different colors feed at different speeds and the wrist is a pretty exposed area so it would probably have some fading. Plus idk how much it would hurt and if I want to go through it being colored in lol
• I also really want to get the art of Charley and Mary from the original CD art for Merrily We Roll Along on my arm. It's my favorite piece of media ever and I really highly relate to Charley and Mary.
• I think it would be really really funny to get SOND HEIM knuckle tattoos but I probably never will
• It'd be cool to do some sort of commemoration for each book I write–a full sleeve with something added for each would be epic as fuck but I think I'd probably just do tally marks or something.
• An interlocking circle and square bc that's the symbol of a STEAM organization I've been a part of for around a decade
• I really want to get a tattoo of something in Aurebesh (the written language of Star Wars) but idk what I would get. Maybe Hope?

In terms of tattoo advice, I have none first-hand bc I have yet to get one but you should definitely look up some tattoo recovery aide stuff, especially since the tattoo you described (which sounds super awesome btw!) sounds pretty big and intricate. I still have to do a bit more and like triple-check that it's good advice but I plan to write down a week by week guide before I get one so I don't forget and mess up the healing process.

Hi! I always love the chance to show my tattoos, mostly because I just really like them but also because it may inspire ideas, you never know.

These are my current tattoos:

My very first one was done in July 2022, and I took the image from Pinterest lmao. My artist tweaked it some to fit her style and make it a little more unique, mainly with the extra little lines and dots within the rune and on the edges of the dragon. Surprisingly, those fine lines and dots are still clearly there even after healing. That's between my ankle and calf. My second tattoo was done in December of 2022, quite literally the day after I got back from college for winter break lmao. This one I designed myself with my best friend in mind, combining aspects of my character with theirs because they are the ultimate OTP. It's on my inner forearm. This picture of it is right after I put lotion over it, so it tends to look lighter at other times depending on hydration and lighting.

My next big tattoo that I want will by on my thigh, and will follow the skeleton theme I've got going on. It's a skeleton torso with butterflies within the stomach, and one extra on the back of the neck. I just really like the concept, but also I personally love the back of neck fictional kisses during fluff moments while reading/writing

Also, y’all can call me a nerd but I really wanna get a tattoo in Gallifreyan kinda design because I love Doctor Who, or the Atlantis Language from the Atlantis Disney movie because I literally named myself after the main character, I love that movie so much lmao. Or for a lamer idea, live long and prosper but in the Vulcan text/language. Because nerd shit. Also!! A Guarding Dark tattoo because omg Sir Terry Pratchett is my bread and FUCKING butter, omg.

I'd like to someday get a tattoo to commemorate Maeby, a neo-natal kitten I tried to save this summer who didn't make it. I barely knew her, I spent no more than two hours with her, but she was the cutest little baby (outside of my own cat of course <3) and she was the one who I really wanted to adopt from the litter but she got sick and her mom abandoned her, like straight up left her to die and took the rest of her kittens and ran. Her death really affected me and so I'd like to get a tattoo to remember her with, maybe a little kitten or the date she died since we don't know her birthday.

I wanna get a spine tattoo- its gonna be of the moon phases, but then add torn angel wings. I also wanna tattoo of a bare tree with the moon phases and a crescent moon as the ‘leaves’

XDD they all have meanings for me. The ankle one is to represent my mom who passed and everyone else I’ve lost. She had an eeyore tatto on her ankle so I wanted something of her but also to represent other ‘parents’ and loved ones I’ve lost. The tree is a kind of ‘dead but still alive’ idea and the moon will have flowers to represent upcoming life. The moons of course is a symbol of phases of life and wings on my back will be a reminder of how much I’ve fought. (Hence why they’re torn up)
