No, I think vertical is normal. Horizontal would mean you're perpendicular to the bed and vertical would mean you're parallel to it.

That's confusing. Anyways PE was awesome today.
We're doing a make your own game unit and my friend and I created the best game with the best name. Our game, Balleyball, is a mixture of basketball and volleyball. The point of the game and the setup of the game is the same as basketball, but you're using volleyball skills like communication, passing, setting, etc. The game goes to 15 points, 1 point for a normal shot, 2 points for a set in, and 3 points for a pass in. It was so much fun because me, my friend, and some of the more athletic people/people who actually did gym for the physical aspects of it were around the basketball hoop and just all trying to score baskets and pass around the ball.
Then, I made a three-pointer by setting it. I swooshed that bish.

No matter WHERE she lays on the bed, she'll always be horizontal! She's perpendicular to the sides of the bed, yes, but you're still laying down. From above, as seen in Fig. 1, she's STILL horizontal! Man, y'all need to brush up on your x- and y-axes.
