Okay, so this happened yesterday, but my friend invited me to an even that she was having and I almost couldn't go, but I ended up making it! Albeit, half an hour late, but I got there! And when I got there she hugged the crap out of me and she told me that I made her day. It was one of the best things to ever happen to me and I'm so glad that I got there.

So: long positive vent approaching. I've been quarantined since last week monday because I probably have corona. Wouldn't be too bad, except I live far from my family so I thought I'd be all alone with this, unprepared to bunker down and wait it out. What made the situation even worse is that I live in a dorm with 7 other healthcare professionals, and we share our bathroom and kitchen. Because they (and me too, when I'm not sick) work with high risk groups such as disabled children/elderly people/people with respiratory diseases it was even more vital that I get no one else sick. Which means my bathroom breaks had to be well timed, always with gloves and disinfectant, and I banned myself from the kitchen almost completely.
Now, to the positive part of this vent: everyone was so supportive and helpful! Multiple people would text me every day to ask if I needed anything. When my doctor wasn't cooperating and refused to confirm my sick leave because I couldn't see him personally, one of my neighbors took my insurance card and went there himself to work it out. It took him almost 3 hours. People bought me fresh fruit and picked up my prescriptions from the pharmacy. My shy syrian neighbor, who I haven't interacted with much at all, would leave home cooked meals on my doorstep every two days or so, without me ever having asked for food. I am literally so thankful for each and every one of the people who has been supporting me in the last few weeks and I just had to vent somewhere. When I was first sent home to be quarantined I was hopeless and scared, I didn't know if I'd have to live off instant noodles for the next few weeks or if there would even be enough. But all these people suddenly cropped up, and now that I'm almost done with quarantine I'm just so thankful.
Tl;dr You are never as alone as you think, and there are more people who care than you could ever know.

So I'm the epitome of a theater/drama nerd, except I haven't listened to/watched many musicals at all. So I decided to start doing so today to become the ultimate nerd. I started relistening to Tarzan, since I did that for my fall musical this year. Then I went to Heathers for a little, then Dear Evan Hansen and last was Into The Woods. I'm obviously gonna continue. But anyway, I'm basically obsessed with Dear Evan Hansen and I just want to watch the actual musical. Anyway, just really enjoying musicals and not understanding why I haven't listened to them earlier lol.
