Has anyone heard of Disability Mentoring Day? I have a great memory from this that I'd love to share, but I wanna make sure y'all know what the hell I'm talking about first! Lol

It's a day where those who are in special education programs (at least from my experience) get to go on a field trip to businesses in and around their local area. At the end of the day a large group of people from different schools meet up in another area where the students meet with their 'mentors' (a volunter from various different jobs, etc). They then discus what you did for the day (where you went, what you learned, and even ask some personal questions {what their dream job is, etc}).
After everyone shares what they did for the day a guest speaker (someone with a major disability) speaks to the group about overcoming their disability, and living a successful life. Its very neat and inspirational, uplifting, wholesome stuff.

Well anyway…. The last year that I took part in it my group got to tour a baseball stadium (I'm not actually into sports, but the tour was still cool! Lol). I took my sketchbook with me just in case I was inspired to draw something. The mentor that chose to sit and talk with me asked to look through it, and I gave permission to do so…. She, an art major, said with all honesty that my drawings are among the best artwork that she's seen!

Right! I think that this opportunity should be extended to 'general education' students as well!
Actually, I think that the things that 'special education' students have access to, such as resource class, should be available to the 'general education' students….

Im such an asshole to my characters. Let's just say that. Like my least bad tragic back story is Satsu and he was thrown in a bag in a river with rocks left to drown before someone found him and brought him to Crystal.

Wow! I get too attached to my characters, I have a hard time deciding to do either of those things to them.
