Asian Cultures and Development

How would YOU go about describing Chinese or Japanese (need both) architecture, fashion, and jewelry? Just wanting to get ideas outside of my own and see if I'm missing potential words descriptors and such. Oh btw, if you are Chinese or Japanese descent have you ever been to your respective countries of origin or do you live there? What can you tell me about about the culture there and the ancient ways of life. Religion?
I've been doing a lot of research but I want to fact check things. I am trying to build my own ethnic groups based on Asian cultures.
Also if you hail from another Asian ethnicity like Korean or Taiwanese etc feel free to bring in your perspectives of your own cultures in fashion, architecture, life in general.

Also a thought occurred to me. In story an Asian culture will be making contact with a White European styled culture for the first time. So I have another thought to push forward. How do YOU as an Asian describe another culture? (Looking mostly for genetic descriptors and fashions.) Through the eyes of others is what I'm trying to narrate. Also guys if you are of another culture or race how would you describe the Asian culture from your perspective. I myself understand as an artist their are differences in genetics between Japanese or Chinese peoples but I am at a loss for words when writing and need a jump start.

I do know a lot about the Korean culture and have some friends who live in Korea (I am not Korean) so I know about Korea if that will help.

In Korea respect to elders is number one (I think this is true to Japan also)

When meeting someone new or old you give a bow, if you are friends you give a small bow (15 degrees), acquaintances a medium bow (30 degrees), older or don’t know them about 45 degree bow.

Most common religion in Asia would be Buddhism (Christian is also popular)

Clothing chose is usually a cute simple look, (I just chose black and white pictures on accident they do where other colors) and this is just a generalization not everyone where’s stuff like this

A lot of people dye their hair to a brown or blonde (again not everyone just enough people to make it notable)

Being cute is probably second, i don’t mean looking cute with clothes i mean acting cute. Like you want something and they say no do aegyo (act cute) a very common way of this is gwiyomi

Thank you for this. The information you provided on bowing and the elderly matches up to what I've read. I'm more looking for ancient stuff not modern but I thank you for the time you spent on this though. I'm writing fantasy so a lot of the cultures are based in more or less pre-tech worlds. Ancient to Renaissance.

Uh I'm Vietnamese

yes, I have been to Vietnam, it's hot and humid and also poor-ish. People had shops lined up all over the streets in front of their houses and it's more common to ride a scooter or motorcycle instead of a car since the streets are so crowded and small.
They are VERY religious people, I think theres some kind of reincarnation thing, but idk, but they're HUGE Christians I think. We do this stick thing where we have this flammable stick, say a few prayers before leaving it standing in a pot of (Ashes?) And then there's money day where people burn up fake money for our elders to use in their next life of in heaven I guess.
Yeah, we have to respect our elders. HAVE TO. Theres a lot of abuse in Vietnam which they consider normal which I thought it was really bad. Also we eat a lot of sea food
. For clothing, I guess we wear like normal clothes, but we also wear these slik pajamas?? Isk how to describe them. Their music is kinda boring and old and ancient I guess.
