Experimental cross-genre idea

@Leo-Valdez-Is-The-God-Of-Chaos the awesome forum 106 comments schedule

So what if you crossed two unlikely genres, like medieval fantasy, but also post-apocalypse?

@PastelTart

This sounds like one of the best ideas EVER!!!! Count me in! (Is this a roleplay?)

(I don't see why not.)

@PastelTart

(Then I am all for it!!!!)

Sir Bjorn, the infamous dragon-slayer, stood atop a hill, looking down at the remnants of his home village

@PastelTart

Mai, the elven thief, looked up at her traveling companion, and said, "Are you alright Bjorn?"

"that self proclaimed god will pay." he muttered to himself

@PastelTart

"Okaaaay…" Mai said to herself. "It's not like you absolutely have to answer."

kingdoms around the known world are crumbling, and a mage called Kaine is behind it, using long forgotten magic to bring the world to it's knees, and no man is strong enough to counter him.

"I'll kill him myself." Bjorn spat

@PastelTart

But our brave adventurers, Sir Bjorn, the dragon slayer, and Mai, the elven thief, are on their way to destroy the terrible menace. The journey may be long, and hard, but they are determined to succeed.

"C'mon, let's see if anyone is still here." he walked down the hill, his favorite double-bladed axe slung casually over his shoulder.

@PastelTart

"Right behind you." she followed, searching through all the ruins, looking for people.

Bjorn inspected the burning ruins he once called home. "I haven't seen destruction like this EVER before"

"Either this Kaine." he spat the name out like a curse. "Has a lot of dragons, or a Horntail. I'm hoping the first."

@PastelTart

Mai looked behind an old shelf that somehow survived, and fell back when she heard barking, "Bjorn, come here!" she called, lifting the tiny pup. (gtg will be back 2morrow)

(cool seeya)

"what?" He lifted the puppy out of Mai's hands, "How did you survive, little buddy?" he said in a squeaky voice
you could see the realization dawning on him. "We have to leave. Now." He dropped the pup. "That's not a dog, It's a Boarbear."

The Ice Hound, more commonly known as the Boarbear, is a wolf-like pack animal bigger than a bear, with leathery bristles which act as a nearly impenetrable armor. It is an incredibly territorial and aggressive creature, best known for eating anything that moves.

Bjorn drew his sword with his left hand, and tightened his grip on his axe. "That smart little pest, he left that there so no one would rebuild here."

(I'll turn this into a story, let me know if you want to be an editor.)

@PastelTart

(Sure! I would like to be an editor)
Mai stepped away from the small creature, and grabbed her enchanted daggers. "What do we do with it?" She asked, although she had a feeling that she knew what Bjord would say.

"Well, are best move would be to leave before-" The Boarbear pup began to howl. "Okay, so our best move would be to run back to our horses and get out of here."

(I just realized I don't know how to add an editor, do you?)

@PastelTart

(No…)
"What's it doing?" Mai asked, backing away from the Boarbear. "Is it bad?"

"Definitely" He said. "Now we should run. I'll kill my horse and maybe the mom will eat that instead." He broke into a run back up the hill.

@PastelTart

Mai followed, glancing back when she heard a loud roar. "Oh my gosh." She muttered, staring at the large Boarbear snuffling around in the rubble. She turned back to Bjor. "I think it's about to realize we're here!" She called to him.

"Let's hope she won't. Also, SHHHHHH!" He whispered, knowing her elf ears could hear him.
Bjorn raised his axe and removed the head of his horse. "Time to go!" he hopped on to Mai's horse and rode down to her.

@PastelTart

She jumped on, clutching her daggers, in case she need to throw them. "Let's get out of here." She whispered to Bjorn.

the horse took off, and the village was out of sight within a few minutes. "You never told me where you got such a fast horse." Bjorn said over his shoulder. "I need a new one now, and I'd like one like this."
