I have a problem with naming the evil side of the war in my story!! I don’t want to entirely make up a word or language; I want it to still be English. Something like “the Defiance,” but not that, because that doesn’t sound quite right. Like an uncommon word, or possibly a made up word based on the English language (using prefixes that mean certain things, etc.). Help!! I’m open to any ideas.

I love it because it almost sounds like “imperial,” which fits as well. Plus the word’s meaning is just spot on.
