So I'm creating a story that is kinda based on social class, so there are the wealthy, upper middle, middle, and poor class. In this world the classes are put into separate cities, schools, communities, ect. In the outsiders there are the rich kids (socs) and the poor kids (greasers) and it shows how they don't get along. The rich kids are scumbags in my story and they do treat the others like trash. In my story I kinda have my own version of Sherry (Cherry). This girl is on the rich side, but she's nicer and is friendly to the poorer classes unlike the others in her class. Then I also have my own version of Dally, but instead she's a female and I also have my own version of Johnny but also as a female. Even though my characters have the same personality as the characters in the outsiders, their story is different. I feel like some of my characters are a lot like the characters like the Outsiders, and my background is similar too, but my story has a whole different plot. Plz help lmao. ;^;
Worried If my story is too similar to "The Outsiders"
Oh oof
(btw I love The Outsiders)
I'm not sure if I'll be able to help much, but here I am anyway.
I love the outsiders too! Btw thx for being here lol
Np! 💛
Sooo do you have any suggestions or nah?
I think that as long as the plot is different, you’re probably good to go.
That's true, but I get too concerned about everything so I'm thinking about changing some of my characters so that they're not alike to the characters in the outsiders..
Just don’t change them too much, or else it’ll feel like you have completely different characters than you started out with.
Okie dokie, I'll do that then! Thank you so much for helping. :)
